Yes. Zanex .5 mg TID. But only for 2 weeks. Will keep your head from too much reaction

I am on both myself. But there are days I don’t take oxycodone for breakthrew. Fhentonal is way stronger, and you shouldn’t withdrawal.

I do know going on vivitrol, you must be off pain meds for 7 days before they will give you the shot.

I also had problems with sweating and my patches would come off. I put them on under my bra to help hold contact but if u wash the spot where you are going to place it with alcohol and wash the patch with soap and water and pat dry the patch until u feel it stick it will stay on good as new-

You might be going through cross tolerance both are opioids and you brain sometimes does that is why doctoctors write for a lower coverson med like from fent to oxy is what I’m about to try I’m on 50 mcg mme =120-135 mme of oral morphine so I’m now switching from that to 20 mg oxycodone it 4x 24 equals 120 mg it’s easier for dr to not drop so drastically on the patches it’s awful

Fentanyl withdrawal will be a lot more intense you should prepare yourself as best you can with magnesium vitamin D & Calcium supplements & no matter how bad you feel like you can’t EAT pain medication drain nutrients out of us like crazy which makes withdrawal worst & if you keep your vitamin & mineral intake up while you’re on the Medication itself it will work a lot better my recommendation to anyone is to eat before EVERY dosage you don’t want your brain’s reward system to prefer oxy or fent over food it’s the beginning of going downhill physically

answer is oxycodone is easier to withdraw from compared to fetnayl is the worst. your withdraw from oxycodone will last up to a week the first four days is the hardest you will get s***s , cold and hot sweats and feel like a very bad flue

I have decreased the amount of oxy 30s I have been on for a long time now, I was taking 12 a day prior to my spinal fusion in Nov, at which time they added 2 100 gram fentanal patches, yes two patches at a time, they were unable to manage my pain it if surgery. I have since stopped the patches. ..fun fun and have decresed the oxy 30mg to five to six a day. .I ran short on my oxy this month about a week or so But have a box of 50 mg fentanol patches that were left over, will one 50mg patch every three days lessen the blow to my body from running out of my 30mg oxys.. basically replacing 5-6 30's a day down one 50mg fentanyl patch every three days. . Hope that made sense.

I need some advise asap plz. I was a heavy H and methamphetamine user for years, but a year ago I went to jail and had to stop cold turkey and I have not taken methamphetamine or H since... but about 2 months ago i started taking 30mg oxycontin a day and 1mg xanax a day and after a week I stopped but I felt s***ty the day after I stopped so I started taking 10mg methadone for a week then 5mg methadone for 2 weeks while still taking the xanax. Then I stopped both cuz I dont wanna be on this crap any more so I made it a day and the withdraw sucked and I had a lot going on with work and court so I couldnt just lay around and feel like s*** so I started taking 30mg of oxycodone to help me though the methadone withdraws. I've been taking it for about 10days now and that's all I been taking and now I'm gonna go down to 15mg oxycodone for the next 3 days (I'm gonna take it orally) and then I want to just stop and get through what ever withdraws I'm gonna have but I have a really important meeting 4 days after I plan to stop so I want to know if you guys think ill be feeling ok by then? How bad am I gonna feel from what I've been doing to myself these past 2 months? And how long after my last dose will it be excreted through urine? Any help plz? Thank u

I had been taking about 15 oxycodone 30mg per day or more for a long time. I had been unable to take them as directed so my doctor suggested fentynal (200mg) saying his patient's didn't have a hard time with withdrawals. I'm pretty sure I'm having surgery. I'm hoping to be weaned from the patches & then take Vivitrol.

Both replies I got have said the fentanyl is harder to withdraw from! Not looking forward to this - except the end result will be worth it! I pray :-) Thanks all!

I quit fentanyl cold after being on it for 3 months. i'm an alcoholic that was up to 1.75 liters a day of vodka. the withdrawals from the fentanyl were worse then quitting booze cold. being on the fentanyl was horrible. i fell asleep in my food, couldn't walk, had trouble with my speech...i'm sure you can taper off it, but my advice is never start it.

I have experienced Fentanyl withdrawal in full force, and wouldn't wish it on anyone!! It was by far the WORSE MONTH OF MY LIFE!!! I am afraid now because I am detoxing from Oxycodone and Hydrocodone and CANNOT GO THROUGH WHAT I WENT THROUGH WITH THE FENTANYL WITHDRAWL. I take 6 10/325 Oxys a day and 6 10/325 hydros a day ... Today I started taking half of that... Is this going to get as bad as the fentanyl detox?? Any comments , bad or good, are encouraged!!

the doctor switched me to the patches because ive become dependent on the pills. He said withdrawals would be easier. I will be having surgery & then hope to take Vivitrol. I don't look forward to the "weaning" process. Any suggestions are appreciated. Judy
