Oxycodone?ms Contin (Top voted first)
UpdatedOXYCODONE/APAP 5/325MG TAB and MORPHINE 15MG ER TAB (MALL-8315) but I have been on this same very medication for years on and off but for the last year and a half straight and it is no longer working how they should. How do I ask my doctor to raise the dosage without her thinking i'm an addict or something

You should just honestly tell her that you've been taking them as prescribed, but are having more pain than usual. It is perfectly normal for your body to get used to the dosage you're taking of any medication that you've been taking for a long time and for it to no longer work as well.
Any good doctor should be well aware of this and should expect it to eventually happen.

Thank you..I've tried but it just seems like these doctors take what a few individuals do and think everyone is the same. They don't care about the fact that I have had a few back surgeries and scheduled for another one in about a month a half and all this before turning 30 yrs old.
I have RSD & also a diagnosis of "failed back surgery" and have been on the same dose if medication for 4 yrs now:: 50mg OxyContin 3x's a day and 15mg oxycodone 4's a day, they do not work anymore but I am scared to say anything to my Dr because of all the people that DO NOT need medication and are using them to either get high or to get rich...... Which is the best way to ask & convince my Dr that I need a stronger dose or other type of medication to keep my pain in check, please someone help me.
I have an auto immune disease called Sjogren's Syndrome and I wouldn't be able to do regular day to day activities without pain medication. Always be honest with your doctor especially when discussing your pain medication. Tell your doctor exactly how many pills you need to take to be pain free. That way they can adjust your strength, dosage, and type of medicine. After a ye. My and I finally have it correct. Be honest so they can help you. If you have a medica conditionl that causes severe pain then there is no reason to make up a story.I toold my doctor look, I'm running out, we need to make an adjustment. Hope this helps.
