I need a doctor that will prescribe oxycodone 30mg in New Jersey. My doctor recently took me off of 30mg oxycodone because I tested "negative" for oxycodone because I lost my prescription that month. I was seeing him for 2 years. I have a serious back problem - 4 discs are herniated and 1 disc is GONE. Most doctors just want to refer me to a orthopedic doctor to get surgery. I DONT WANT SURGERY I am too young!!

Since the opana r two expensive u can ask ur doctor to put u on MS CONTIN ER that's morphine extended release in on them as part of my pain management and there way less expensive to fill at CVS n the prescription card works for them I get 120 of the 30 mg MS CONTIN ER n it's like 40 buck for 120 of them.... So ask ur doc to change the opana to them but no the does alitte because there not as strong as opana I hope this helps

Thank you very much for responding to my post no there is no generic and I did check on those insurance cards, no luck there. I do appreciate you taking the time to at least help. Thank you very much for that. It's friday night about 1 o'clock in the morning in south carolina. I'm going to try to rest over the weekend. I've got enough thirties to last me until next week but my prescription it's supposed to be filled tomorrow. Excuse me it's thursday night. I'm sorry, these past few days I have just not been with it. Anyway the opana is supposed to be filled tomorrow. It's 30 milligram. I know nothing about this drug. I got two-a-day and 90/15 milligram oxycodone from what I was taken which was a hundred and eighty oxycodone 30 milligram a month. My head is just all messed up. They could at least gave me a heads-up on getting a new doctor. They just came in there and treat me like I'm some kind of junky. I don't do drugs. I did when I was a kid. I'm 41 years old. I don't even consume marijuana but I have considered it to see if it would help with the pain but never did because I was scared of a drug panel. Please if anybody knows of any doctors in south carolina or north carolina anywhere in the upstate please let me know so I can contact them. That opana it's $1,200. I have no insurance. I'm still waiting on my disability from the car wreck that put me out of work that got me in this position. I could get 180 30mg oxycodone for a hundred and forty bucks. That's what I kept asking the nurse practitioner. See I have not seen the doctor yet. They just sprung all this on me a few days ago but I ask why can't I stay where I'm at with all my medication if it's doing well. They would not hear of it. They said everything has to go to time release. Pain management is changing all across america. That's all they kept saying to me. They literally had to walk me out of there talking I knew better than to get loud and rude. I knew that would not get me anywhere. I just kept asking if something is not broke why fix it? Just leave me alone. Let me be. I'm fine the way I am with what you are giving me. They kept blaming it on the legislation by politicians, the dea, that's what they kept saying to me and their defense and in my defense I'm saying what am I supposed to do? I really don't know. You see how messed up I am in the head. I didn't even know what day it was. This has been on my mind ever since I walked out of that building 3 days ago because for years I've been on this medicine that's been okay. There's been times that the pain steel shot through my leg. I've got all kinds of metal in my leg. Plates on both sides of my ankles. Not going to rant about all of that but yes my whole leg probably should have just been removed because it's nothing but metal. But my point that I was making was why are people not allowed to stand up and fight against this. It's like there's no say so on what is going on. A year ago a friend of mine told me they couldn't take their xanax anymore because of their pain medicine. So this had been a long time coming. I see this down and I look back at my friends and at my situation just in past events and I see that things were heading in this direction. Not just for me for all of us. But if there is a good lord above surely there's got to be something something that will help us that are in real pain. Not just some drug addict that wants to feel high again. Thank you for your response to my post. I didn't think anybody would even respond back. I appreciate that very much. Again I do ask if there's anybody in south carolina or north carolina georgia anywhere around in my area that can possibly help me out as far as a doctor that I could possibly see I sure would appreciate it. I saw ur post, and I just wanted let u know the opana r very strong, they work well but if u don't have insurance the cost is ridiculous because opana doesn't make a generic version.. the one thing u can try is find one of those prescription insurance card, u don't have to pay for them.. on some meds with those cards u can get up to 70% off on some med.... I was on 300 30mil roxicodone with diladud 120 a month 8 mg n 120 2 mil Xanax a month with a muscle relaxer..... my doctor got shut down so I've had to find a new doctor, my tolerance was ridiculous, I was on those dosages for 6 yrs. Now going to a new doc no one will get those numbers anymore... but I did find a doctor who now over the last 6 months prescribes me 4 30s a day plus 2 extended release 30 mg morphine a day... it's sucks for people who really need meds.. I've broken over 70 bones plus my pelvis once and my back 2x my L3 n L4.. I've got 3 plates like 20 screws in my body plus 4 pins holding my hand n wrist together.... try n find one of those prescription cards n if u can find one let me know n I can give u the number off one of mine....

HOPE THIS WAS HELPFUL......ALSO ASK UR DOCTOR I BELIEVE OPANA DID COME OUT WITH A GENERIC VERSION ALOT CHEAPER

Hi there I live in South Carolina I went to my doctor yesterday I get a hundred and eighty 30 milligram oxycodone.A month well I did until yesterday they told me they would not be giving me instant release like that they wanted to change my medicine to 15 milligrams of Oxycodone 90 times a day excuse me 90 pills a month and put me on some drug called Opana I don't know what the hell I'm going to do I bake them to give me enough time to find another doctor to just not stop my medicine runs out Friday of this week they would not listen to anything I had to say the doctor I was seeing left I found him going out the back door and he said the laws are getting so strict and South Carolina he was getting the hell out and kept walking I didn't run after him I knew there was no need I don't know what to do I have no insurance that Opana is $1,000 CVS I have no insurance and ever since my car wreck I have no work no income I've been on the 30 milligram oxycodones for four years 180 a month 6 add a now 90 15 milligrams and some drug called Opana that I can't afford if anybody can help please I beg you help me please thank you and God bless all of you.

@katmosphere, have you tried the new place on Corlies Ave in Neptune? They do alternative treatments as well that I know, long story short, I had my 1st appt. A few weeks ago and the Dr. was so, so nice and honest most of all! I was actually given A copy of the "NEW GUIDELINES" set by governor CHRISTIE and it states no chronic pain patient is to be given more than 60mg of oxycodone per day along with alternative treatments. It also states to deter prescribing to ppl on benzo's and for the Dr to use his best discretion on that. And this is the kicker! When I was done seeing the Dr. he gave me a paper to bring up to the receptionist and it said patient #3 of that day and patient #56 of the month. They have to keep track of every patient each day and are only permitted to prescribe a certain number of pills per month which obviously limits how many patients they can see per month so in the gist of it all, the less MGS and amounts written to each person the more patients they can have per month. It's unfair to the dr's as well as all of us suffering in inhumane pain in my opinion! They are only permitted to prescribe a certain number of MGS per month and have to submit their records to the surgeon general each month. Yes so I was patient #3 of day and #56 of month. Anyway the Dr. was very caring! And professional! I'm not a big fan of the useless inj's. I have been enduring for the past 2yrs that DON'T WORK! I think we all have become pincushions and our insurance companies cash cows!

Hi everyone I just happened to come upon your posts and see that you all, like me, are searching for a new dr. after the dr. Sloan fiasco. I'mslrry that there are so many of you dealing with chronic pain (like me). It's awful and the DEA just doesn't care. It's sad. I once heard that once you're on disability it's hard to go off. Now I understand why! I just get pushed aside and treated like an addict. So how can I go off disability when I can't even get out of bed bc the DEA keeps closing down drs??? Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about the drs. Responsible for the patients that overdose I mean drs like Sloan. Tired but fairly harmless. I
to a dr. In NYC now but she's awful! Always pushing epidurals even after 3 other drs. Told me it's not necessary. Plus, I found out that the dr. lied on my chart which I'm sure was so Medicare would approve e the epidurals. I'm on fentanyl which no dr since Sloan wants to give me. I will NOT go to the thief goswammi. So if anyone can share some names or a name of (a) dr(s). in NJ I'd really appreciate it.

I've been taking suboxone now and have been on Xanax for 10 years. The FDA sent my doc a note that they feel I should not be on both medications so she is weaning me down on that. The FDA has gone overboard.

Hey Shelly, I don't believe it's cause of ur xanax, maybe it might be with some docs, but not all of them... cause b4 this bulls*** urgent care I'm going to every two weeks. At the Doc I was going to in New Jersey I was getting 120 2mg Xanax with 30s n 8mg diliatians.. then when I switched to the place I'm going to now. He took my xanax away n I let him know I wasn't ok with it. He gave me soma instead and after two visits he put me back on xanax n let me keep soma which surprised me cause my first Doc would never let me take somas with 30s... So I made the new appointment in nj. for the 10th a little over 2 hrs away n he saw everything I was on at first Doc n the place I'm currently going.. and didn't say n e thing bout the dosage I was on at my first Doc n what I've been cut to where I'm going now until I see him... So I had to go to the new place n fill out paper work and take a urine. And when I was speaking to the nurses I told them about the doc that was only prescribing me 4 20s a day, 2 soma, 2 1 MG xanax, 3 gabapentin, n 2 30 MG morphine sulfate Er 2 x a day... and told them u saw what I was on b4 n this guy is basically just keeping me not sick, she then cut me off and said u should be happy u found someone to at lease keep u not sick till u found a new pain management doc. She also said don't get a sour taste in ur mouth bout the urgent care, you've found a good doctor you'll be seeing us soon just try n be strong till then..... So the moral of the story is I don't think it's all bout the xanax.... BUT MAYBE I'M WRONG....I could go there on the 10th n they just take my 400 bucks. I guess only time will tell n I'm gonna have to rent a car to go there it looks like.....

Hey carmine yes my PC referred me to a pm Dr. And I still couldn't get in. Said can't help me cause of the Xanax I'm guessing. I keep getting reduced without even being fixed not fair at all! I'm going to lower my Xanax mg and hope the Dr. Will leave me be? This is such b/s! So you are in same boat? I don't have vehicle right now either and at this point it don't seem like it even matters anyway seems all of us are screwed no matter where we are or go? How we supposed to take care of our families if we are bed ridden in chronic pain and our loved ones watch us suffer.

Hey Guys,

I know this doesn't help your particular situation but those who are still getting any rxs for opioids/opiates your in a better place than most since in nj they are systematically withdrawing all non Cancerous (with an end stage diagnosis) patients and transitioning to interventional and non narcotic meds. For those with a secondary Dx and using Xanax (or other benzos) it will be reduced at a speedier dose titration schedule. IT'S TRULY A NIGHTMARE FOR CHRONIC INTRACTABLE PAIN PATIENTS. It seems regulators with the support of this new administration are only diggin in their heals deeper, to restrict opiates for a limited few. These reductions are barbaric, for folks maintained on high opiate and benzo drugs for decades will pay the ultimate price. Preliminary reporting indicates emergency room visits are up 65% since the start of 2017 in NJ alone. I don't know what we can do but please do not feel it's personal and punitive. It's just this new insane effort to stem rx abuse and addiction issues. God bless us all......

Hey Shelly srry things aren't working out for you, I forgot where u live, I have a bad memory.... I know u said the doctor I gave u was too far.... my mom has been going to her doctor for almost 20 yrs and now there not doing workman's comp any more so the let her go 2 weeks ago and now she has to find a new doc, but even b4 they let her go they were cutting her meds almost every month.... It seems every Doc is running scared... Most of the places I know r really far away n if u couldn't get to the one I gave you then I don't have to many options... The place Im going to on the 10th is over 2 hrs away from my house and like 135 miles away... I don't know what I'm gonna do when that day comes, I have 3 vehicles n all of them are in the shop... It seems like no matter what I do I can't catch a break... Did u ask ur Pcp Dr to find u a pain management Dr.....

Carmine, hey it's Shelly. I'm so tired of searching already pls help! The place I'm at now just lowered me to 4 15's a day and said next visit lowering me to 10's. It's insane! All because I'm on xanex. I can't just go off them, I told you my story. My pain is unbearable! Pls help!

I'm in the same boat screwed over by the same dr left me making endless trips to the er still can't find a single dr in nj to help I don't know why back pain has become a mental issue n a thing of the past as if it just went away

No progress. Just pain. There are times I can barely walk. Nights where I cannot sleep and just cry. Days when I wish I was dead from this pain. No, I'm not planning to kill myself right now. I have no life. I wouldn't let my dog live like this. There is a special place in hell for the doctors who screwed us over. And for the doctors who won't look at us because they saw who our doctor was. I hope before they go there they spend years in the same pain I am in.

I would like an explanation as to why most doctors are afraid of prescribing? Why has the medical board threatened to do to them if they do.
These doctors took an oath "to do no harm", but I see they are only concerned about covering their own behinds. Doctors have the full right to prescribe, but have a deaf ear to the patients who pay good money for their help. Why must the majority of patients have to suffer, just because of the few that were careless with their scripts? I think all patients deserve an explanation as to why they ( the doctors) will take our money, but refuse to give appropriate care. !!!!!

If you're looking for a disability lawyer I went with the firm Binder and Binder. When I applied for disability on my own I had been denied. When I went through them they not only got me the money from when I applied through them, but also from when I applied on my own. You do have to pay to get your medical records. You will also have to be examined by the state disability lawyers from whatever state you are in. When you apply list EVERY medical condition you have because while you may be thinking "I'm disabled because of the pain" they want to see that there are more things than pain. When it is time to go to court, dress with a long sleeved shirt and tie, you may want to remove some of the piercings if they are on your face until you are approved (no ink, four piercings for me). Once you are on disability they will check on you every once in a while to make sure you aren't disabled any more. Good luck. I hope you get it!

Hey buddy Sameoldbs. I really appreciate ur response to my message n that would be fantastic if u could help me with a good lawyer.. especially the fact that I'm 36 n I have a lot of tattoos n some piercings n because of that and my age they treat me like I'm a fake n that no way a 36 yr old can be in such bad shape, if with my records n an assessment from my doctor..... I basically went to Wilks barre where the appointment was they made me wait two hrs n the go in the back where a doc saw me for 10 minstrel n just asked me a lot of questions I was only with a doc for tops 20 mins and didn't perform n e test on me spent most of that time answering questions n maybe 3 weeks later got a response saying I was denied and maybe a week later my house caught on fire and I take care of my mom who is 62 n disabled, n right after the fire we were out of our house for almost 5 months and after all that I never tried to appeal it cause we had so much going on but I wastill just boutique to refine so I could use all the help I could get thank you so much... it would be like a Xmas minimal if u could give me that info
