i have been on oxycontin for about 7 yrs. and these new op's are not the same .i wonder if anyone else has been really depressed.since the new version ops. been on 3 months..they are terrible for pain control..i dont even want to wake up anymore. ## There have been many complaints that they don't work as well and cause odd side effects, in this new formulation, even though Purdue claims they will work the same. I am very sorry to read of what you are going through. The only thing I can really suggest is reporting your problem to both Purdue and the FDA at the following numbers: Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication issues: 888.726.7535 FDA MedWatch number: 800-332-1088 Are there any questions or comments?

ip or o/c what is different ## Did you mean the OP marking? The original Oxycontin manufactured by Purdue Pharma bore the OC marking, with a number designating the dosage on the opposite side. However, they have discontinued it and released a new formulation that is intended to help prevent abuse and it has an OP on one side, with the number designating the dosage on the opposite.
