Has anyone found out how to break these things (the new oxy's) down where you can snort them yet? if so please post it. ## No, the new Oxycontin OP has been specially formulated to prevent such type of use. Hey guys, I've been on oxycontin 80's for 10 years, and the new ops reall suck, but instead of trying all these ways to break them down, try this, I promise on own life it works. Simply cut it into 4 or 5 pieces, take them on an empty stomach, and in 20 minutes you are pain free and aggravation free, and you havnt screwed up all your pills trying to find a way to do them. Sure it takes a little longer to get fully into your system like the instant from banging, but hey if youve been without for days and your sick whats another 15 minutes to wait ? The smaller the pieces the quicker it gets into your blood stream, and empty stomach cuts the time in half again. Trust me it works!! Hi, I'm prescribed 80mg Oxycontin from my doctor. My other Doc writes me a prescription for 60mg Oxycontin a week later. Both get filled and paid for by my insurance, since they are different milligrams insurance covers it. Is this legal? ## In Nj I can tell you it is illegal because you are only allowed to attend one pain mgt doc that can prescribe morphine based opiots. ## That is not correct, for a dosage change, it is perfectly legal. Most insurance plans will cover a dosage change. The problem, however, may arise in getting the same pain medication from multiple doctors, especially a narcotic. i have hear they are pulling the oxycontin op off of the shelf. once the ones already made are gone they are going back to the original formula. does anyone know if there is any truth to this. i heard reason was because, exspecially with older people, the ops are not digesting. cases of older people haveing bowell movements and the entire pill has not disssolved. this along with other problems. ## No, so far they have not released any information stating that they are intending to return to the original formula. Can't live without oxy. I consume it, it consumes my life, i love it. ## I am assuming you are referring to Oxycodone, which is a narcotic pain medication meant to treat severe pain. It may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, constipation and drowsiness. Abuse of this medication can put you in serious danger. Are there any questions or comments?

I have been on 40 to 80 mg OC's for almost 10 years. My pain control was sufficient and could engage in life for the most part. I have a degenerative problem in my lower back and with no pain control I am virtually bed ridden. In addition, I have problems with my shoulders and my knees due to a once active invovement in several sports. I experienced some degree of pain every day, even with the OC's. With the change to op's I am increasingly becoming bed ridden and experiencing, for the most part either pain or withdrawl. My doctor requires several random UA's and I have had no results that indicate anything but strict adherence to my pain control contract. I would like to know what a pure darker green pill is.was told it was a 80 oxycontin made in china.its a harder pill and green right through. ## Hi Mary Anne - The challenge with what you have described is the fact that pills with no markings are virtually impossible to identify other than by running a lab test on them. For the most part, only pills originating in North America are the easiest to identify. I would definitely recommend staying away from them since they could be anything. I wish I could give you more specific details. Where did you get them from? Was it an online pharmacy? Also, did they come in any specific packaging listing a company, product name, or anything else?

I am in the donut of my medical coverage and do not have the money to fill my presciption for Oxycontin 60mg for 60 pills. Hello I am writing in regards to the new OP formula that is making all of us so sick and awful side effects There is a number with the email address to contact these people from purdue pharma. They are not spokesmen but are there to take feedback and complaints. Here are there names and emails to contact them. Because of major medical screw ups with hip replacements I have been on oxycontin oxycodone for 8 years plus now taking over 400mgs a day I would like to get off of it but it seems impossible, I actually believe pain from hips may be bearable but when lessening the meds the joint pain , bone pain is beyond belief and so constant just think about how bad you feel so you go back to the pill for relief and this sucks other than the wasman method (spelling incorrect) or a rehab does anyone have suggestions on how to get off without so much pain? my pain dr has become an advocate for the theory of opiate induced hyperalgesia.we have had a three year dialectic on the possibilities in my case. I've been disabled for 11 years as a result of degenerative disc disease. Iwas affecteted on all five lumbar discs, at the first attempt for fusion the screws backed out of the bone and they had to perform a 360 degree fusion anchored on my s.i. joint. iam solid from my tail bone though five now solid discs. Yesterday I picked up a 20 day supply of oxycontin 30 mg. It was a 20 day script. At 2 a day my px was for 60. I was HORRIFIED when the pharmacist billed me for 325.00, including my insurance discount. They claimed there is not a generic oxycontin. Oxycodone 30 mg was $15 for 60...so needless to say I was shocked!!! Is there an equivalent slow release to replace 30 mg of oxycontin? There has got to be something. I got into a bit of a habit with taking too many 30 oxycodone, which is why I was put on a slow release. Any advice out there? The pharmaceutical companies are gouging us beyond belief, and I've got a medical condition due to an accident where I need these pills, at least for another 2 months or so. If you are having bad side affects from Oxy OP find a compounding pharmacy that will make the formula for you. Not easy to find a one that will be able or willing to do this for you but they are out there. It is an option but make sure your doctor submits a pre-authorization for "compound" medication if you have insurance coverage. If not, the compound med is half the cost of regular OP pills. Many people do not know about compounding medicines so be prepared for that road block. Do research and be prepared.
