does ms contin make you test positive for oxycontin on an urine drug test ## In theory, it shouldn't, because MS Contin contains the narcotic Morphine as the active ingredient, however, on some of the cheaper, less reliable tests, there have been many instances where one narcotic has caused false positives for another. If you browse our site, you'll see many posts on problems like this. Are there any other questions?

I am curious if the production of oxycontin 80's are coming back onto the market or if the remaining supply is suddenly being distributed again just to get rid of them? ## No, at this time, they aren't being manufactured and returned to the market, however, places that still had some in stock are still allowed to dispense them, until their supply runs out. When still sealed in the original factory bottles, most medications have a 3 year shelf life, so I'm sure they will still be showing up for awhile, especially in areas where pharmacies had a large stock, but don't fill a lot of prescriptions for it. Are there any other questions or comments?

Hello I'm trying to find out the new pain medicine that kids are taking today that replaces the pain pill oxycontin. I saw a show on TV about this but I can't remember what It's called? I think it starts with the letterA? It's the new drug craze today. ## The only one I can think of offhand that starts with an A would be Actiq, it contains the narcotic Fentanyl, which is over 80 times stronger than Morphine and is available as a lollipop, it's a formulation used for slow release of the medication. Does this sound familiar?

i just want to know if it's a oxycontin or not! ## If what is Oxycontin? Can you post back with more information, such as a description of and the markings on the tablet in question? A 20mg Oxycontin tablet from the U.S. would be manufactured by Purdue Pharma and it would have either an OC or an OP on one side, with a 20 on the other. Both of them are pink and round.

When an 80 mg oxycontin breaks down in the body, what will it appear as in the urine and how many mg/liter would it show up as? ## In the urine it normally shows as Oxycodone and its metabolites, which show it has been processed through the body. As to how much it will show, I can't really answer that, because it can vary depending on how often it is taken, the persons body weight and other factors. Generally based on what has been prescribed, as well as the persons health, body weight and etc. the doctor will look for it to fall within a certain range, anything outside of that range can alert them to a problem. If the levels are too low the person may not actually be taking their medication and if the levels are too high, they may be abusing it. Are there any other questions?

Is it possible to break OP 20's in half to take a lower dosage orally? Error meaasge says this needs more information than the title, but the title says it al.... so here's more information. ## Wow. I'm sorry the question didn't entail enquiries about how to snort and shoot the stuff in an effort to abuse it. I just don't think I always need 20mg of this stuff and would like to be able to take lower dosages when appropriate, as I have typically done with similar medications in the past. I have been on OxyContin 60 mg. 3 time'sa day for about 6 or 7 year's. It woked GREAT. I have gotten 3 refill's of the NEW OxyContin they are not the same, they do not work as the old ones did, they do not last as long, it takes longer to take ANY kind of effect, I have went to the doctor, he does not want to change any thing, I called Purdu to find out how to get the old one's back, some one said if op is on the pill instead of oc it would be equal to the old one's. I have taken Vicodin, Loritab(cet), Hydrocodone, etc. Percoset make me hyper for some reason. The question I have is I just came across some 40mg OP(yeah OP) oxycontin. I don't snort, smoke, or shoot pills. I take them orally. I just got a prescription for Oxy and when I filled my script I got the OP's. After doing some research, I'm almost afraid to take them. Does anyone like the OP's? i have been on these 40 mg pills twice daily for about two weeks with Vicodin es 3 daily for break through, The oxy's only seem to last about 4 hours but they do kick in quicker on an empty stomach. I feel like they give me rush in th beginning, then after that its all down hill. i dont think the time release is much use, there new patent really is unproffessional and needs much more lab test to be done as well as they put less oxycodone in these op's which is a straight scamm, because they have a monopoly going on this drug and no competition with the generic companies. I found a pill with M in a box on one side and 595 on the other side. I found it in my sister's room and she used to do Oxycontins and quit, as far as I know. Could this be a generic 40mg Oxycontin? 80 op ## No, this is not a generic, this is an 80mg Oxycontin OP tablet, it is the new version, specially made to help prevent abuse of the medication. Even if someone crushes it or tries to chew the tablet, it will retain its time released properties, but still work the same. 5mg oxycotin k 18 on one side an blank on the other. Small white round pill. ## I don't have a picture to post for you, due to copyright reasons. This is not actually an Oxycontin tablet, those are only available as the name brand and would have the OC or OP marking on them, with the number designating the dosage on the opposite side. This time released formulation is also not available in a 5mg dosage. The tablet you have, does contain 5mgs of Oxycodone, but it is the regular release tablet, which is the generic for Roxicodone. oxycontin ## I think you are referring to the manufacturer name Mallinckrodt. They are a manufacturer of Oxycodone (generic for OxyContin by Purdue pharma). Did you have any specific questions concerning this drug or the manufacturer? ## are roxycodone bieng done away with ## I have no health insurance and my medical bills are killing me. I cannot get health insurance due to prexisting conditions. MY doctor told me if I conacted the manufacturer you might be able to help with the the cost for these expensive medications.
