Help, I need a doctor in Atlanta Georgia that can see me pretty quick and refill my Oxycontin (which are for my 4 herniated disks that keep me in constant pain). My husband and I are fixing to retire in fort Meyers. I was reading where it was hard to find a drug store that dispenses oxycontin. I've been on oxycodone for 15 years from a back injury and have had a failed back surgery. I recently was told by my pharmacist that oxycontin8o mg.O.C. was no longer available thru Perdue. Perdue reformulated the medication and noe has O.P. instead of O.C>on the pill. This new formulation is very upsetting to my stomach. Please advise. ## There are a few pharmacies that still have the original product available, but this will only be until their supplies run out. Your pharmacist is correct, Purdue has changed the formulation and is no longer making the original product. BCBS of Alabama is proposing to no longer allow quantitative drug testing coverage. They also will limit the times qualitative testing can be done to three times per year. This means things like synthetic opioids and some benzodiazepines will become undetectable and the amount of time anything will be detectable will be greatly limited.

Walgren's gave me the bad OP/80's last month and told me that's all that would be available from now on. My doctor let me try hydromorphone, oxymorphone, and MsContin. All with either negative side effects or ineffectiveness. I gave up on all replacements and asked doctor to put me back on Oxycontin 80. When I went to Walgrens, they asked if I wanted generic. I told them that I heard there is no generic. They said they have them again. The manufacturer is ETHEX, (which based on other posts here is owned by Purdue). Back in 2004 I had to have C5-6-7 and all the discs removed and replaced just to get the pain level from a 10 to about a 5.Between surgery and meds I got the pain to a level 3,then "My" pharmacy up and quit carrying those highly addictive oxycontin 80mg 3X a day.It caused me to total my car,Don't ever take those oxys.I paid my pain Dr. to watch out for me.I would never have taken them but thought I could trust my Pain Dr.I went from Nov. 24 to Dec.29 in horrible withdrawls.I'm on MS Contin 60 mg now ,if I can get them.If I try to fill them at pharmacy I am treated like an addict to be shunned.Even in the Hosp. At this point I want to start the ball rolling to get a class action suit against Actavis for the pain and suffering caused by their so-called oxycontin meds! I, too, had a similar story about the lack of pain relief, not to mention the uncomfortable GI symptoms and headache. It felt like I took a Benadryl/Codeine medication--both of which I never tolerated well. On top of that, after reporting my complaint to Actavis, they claimed their med was just fine. The FDA sent me a form to fill out. Instead of focusing their investigation on the inferior Actavis medication, the FDA form asked for all kinds of personal medical information about me! This has been a cruel and inhumane situation and I want to fight back!

I sniffed one oxycontin 60 mg on Thursday and I have a drug test on Tuesday . So unless you came across a good counterfeit, you're not going to find anything that fits this same description, since all US pharmaceuticals have a very distinctive imprint to signify the manufacturer, substance, and dosage. Without the proper imprint, anyone who takes a moment to look it up or knows what to look for in an oxycontin pill count won't necessarily be fooled by an impostor. Can a 80mg Oxycontin be cut in half and broken down to work immediately instead of the time released? I'd rather use it for breakthrough pain. ## You can't......plain and simple. Oxycontin contains a "plastic" component that does not break up so it can't be turned into an IR from an ER. There are things people are doing instead, rectally, but it is quite dangerous. I need help identifying a fat oval pill that is white and has A13 on one side and is blank on the other. Is this Oxycontin? Also, is Oxycontin the same as a Roxicodine? I hear it's a very powerful pain pill. ## Oxycontin contains a time-released version of Oxycodone. And Roxicodone by comparison, is simply another brand name for Oxycodone in it's immediate-release form. Regarding the white pill, whereabouts did you find it at? Seems strange to me that there's no specific details on it when I go to run a search.

i do not think the op version of oxycontin are working.they seem to go through me without digestion.i have literally seen them in the toilet up to 6 hours after ive taken them so im not getting relief from the pain. are the old version ones still made and provided to pharmecies? ## No, the old ones are no longer available. However, it is normal to find the tablet shell of these time released Oxycontin OP in your stool, later. However, it is just the shell, the medication is slowly released from it. My doctor switched me to Oxycontin 80MG from Oxycodone IR 30MG. What is the difference between the two? I read all these forums and many of them are about abusing them and I am not interested in doing that for fear of dying. So, what will happen if I chew them?
