The active ingredient in this drug is Oxcarbazepine. It is an anticonvulsant and mood stablizer used to treat Epilepsy and BiPolar disorder.

Some of the most common side effects include: dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision and headaches.

Tab Oxetol is an anti-epileptic drug; those who have Seizure disorder or convulsion should take this medicine, but definetely under Neurologist's observation; the drug will cause slight drowsiness, hence driving is not advised; Alcohol should NOT be taken as it may trigger Seizure disorder.

m suffering from neurocysticercosis and being treated with oxetol.wanna know wat r its side effects on skin and how can be they reduced.

My wife had seizure two days back and doctor adviced her Oxetol 150MG twice a day. Her MRI Brain and CT Scan Brainreports are normal.

Can I know are their are side effects of Oxetol tablets. She is 33 years old.

i am suffering the pain of spondolosis {,C5, C6. C7} &refered pain up to left chest, even the pain in lumbar region ( pain relives at the time of rest & laying down

i started having seizures (for the first time) 4 months ago.now doctor has diagnosed it as fit and prescribed me tab oxcarbazepine oxetol 300 mg in the morning and night for 3 years
my worry is, could continuous medicine lead to weight gain?
and what are the chances of this medicine affecting pregnancy? please reply

My wife had seizure (for the first time) last month. Now doctor has diagnosed it as fit and prescribed her tab oxcarbazepine oxetol 300 mg in the morning and night for 2 years.
Please advice if this tablet can be taken without any side effects.
Are there chances of fits coming again?

I am suffering from epilepsy for the last 9 year. In this 9 year I am taking tegretol 400mg tablets. But now my Dr. suggests me OXETOL 300mg. But it is not effective because I have seizure on every 15days. Pls tell me what can i do.

my friend is suffering for paralysis on righ side for last 4 year & he is also sufering fome siezure& doctor advise him to take oxcetol300mg in the morning&450 mg in the evening. he remains in drowsiness & feel sleepy through they day. i would like to know that there is some other medicine which gives less drowsiness because he is not able to walk because of driwsiness so ita is veary difficult for him to emprove physically he is also have blod suger but it is in control. i would likw to suggest what to do so he we will not have so musch drowsiness even when he speaks there is an element of drowsiness

I AM PREGNANT AND SUFFERING FROM EPILEPSY
NO SEIZURES FROM 15 MONTHS BUT ADVISED TO TAKE OXETOL 300 MG TWICE A DAY . WILL IT AFFECT MY BABY

I had neurocystocercosis & it was traced 6.5 years back. Then I started having OXETOL 150mg in morning & OXETOL 300 mg at night for 3 years. Though, the cyst has gone in 6 months, but I had to take the medicine for total 3 years.
It led to drowsiness, and even affected my hormones. I got facial hair and gained a lot of weight because of the medicine.

HI .. my mother is suffering from eye skin twitching from last 5 yrs . one week ago my mom did MRI scan. and report was perfect and then doctor given her OXATOL 150 . and then she took 4 tablets and suffering from high side-effects of this medicine. she is anxious , restless, shivering , blindness , headache.. i went to doctor on 7th oct 2011 , but thry didn`t do .. can you please tell me about what can i do .. i am too much scared .. thanks in advance ....

My child is 5 years old and had seizures one month ago. Doctor advised oxetol 150 mg twice a day for 2 years. till date no seizures occured. we are afraid whether this treatment would effect his education, intelligence or other activitiies in future please suggest or my child would have any side effects.

I am a seizure patient. Currently taking Levetiracetam 1.5 gm and 2 gm., Oxcarba 900mg bd, and Cloba 15 mg hs. I've been seizure-free for 2 years. Currently facing sleepiness after each dose. Requesting your advice. Has anyone taken Oxetol cr for seizures?
