Orange Subutex 153 Half Moon (Page 2) (Top voted first)

Updated

I use these and they work great. I was on the Roxanna Pharma ones that were circular in size and these orange ones work way better. Wish I had been on them from the start.

Hi...Thanks for asking! I'm doing great! I'm off everything now. When I ran out of Subutex, I used pain meds for 3 days...got 1 8mg Subutex when done with pain meds...Took very little for lime 3 or 4 days. Stopped everything and had no issues! I'm just a bit tired, but all and all...doing well. My doc thinks I should stay on a low dose of Subutex to manage my pain...Just something I'm thinking about doing.

If taken correctly taken an 8mg suboxone or subutex is the same thing. Therefore a person taking subutex over suboxone is not taken subutex in order to "use" other drugs. Subutex is made in many generics whereas suboxone is not so many times a cash patient may take subutex only because of cost, not so they can use more drugs or medicine. The buprenorphine is what stops a person from abusing opiates not the naloxone. This is because buprenorphine has a stronger bond to the miu receptor then opiates. (I may have spelled the name of the receptor wrong)

Buprenorphine is the main blocker.. It doesn't matter if you take suboxone or subutex the bup will stick to all your receptors and block any other opiate or opioid. The main reason naloxone is put in suboxone is for prevention of abuse by Intravenous use.

Actually rereading my post again, I even asked the question..."if naloxobe is a blocker, like many have been saying, they how come when narcan brings an overdosed person back, that same person can be on the block shotting kore dope and getting high again 20 minutes later?" Do you just not read before posting or telling someone they know nothing? Seems to me you read my post, changed in your own words, and posted but not before telling me I am wrong or tgat I said naloxone is a blocker. Actually i was clearly claiming the opposite. Anger is a natural form of grief of a great loss such as a drug of choice and so is snapping with half the details or without even reading my post thoroughly. So its all good...I am just confused on what your point was and how it was any different then what I said?

I have explained that four different times on this page and people still want to argue. I mean I have my substance abuse pharmacology book right in front of me...getting people to understand that the buprenorphine in the suboxone and subutex is the blocker and is what causes withdraws when taken early, is like pulling teeth...

Dude subutex buprenorphine u are by medical common sense wrong to the guy who said subutex won't make u sick. the only diff is suboxone has naloxone also but subutex is a partial agonist/antagonist. Methadone, OxyContin, fentanyl, opana, Hydromorphone, ect are what's called full agonist. if u are using one of the above an lets say sublingual buprenorphine/subutex u will be in horrible withdrawals.

I disagree the orange subs with 153 on one side and D on the other are completely different than the white ones or any other subs I've had. They taste awful and there to big, I just got them for the first time yesterday and unfortunately I'm stuck with 2 weeks worth but I've been on subs for over 3 years I've gotten a couple different kinds the small Itty bitty ones with a 8 on it and the big white ones and these, but these are nothing at all like the the white ones like at all. I hate them. And I can't believe they really expect me to put it under my tongue with that God awful taste, I mean really!!!!

ummmmm i don't know why you all are saying that subutex has naloxone........the FACTS are that any form of subutex has no blocker in it......And do your research subtex are not generic in fact subtex have been around for 20+ years...............soooo please don't just talk out your ass cause you take them or are prescribed them..............suboxone = blocker. subutex= no naloxone..

The DA didn't stop the 54 411, 561

Who said subutex has naloxone in it? Not me. And please do your research before posting wrong info cuz the bup IS the blocker in both subutex and suboxone. So you can not feel high from opiates or opioids when taking either of them. Naloxone only gets activated when heated up.

It's not that it gets activated when heated up, it gets activated when it enters the bloodstream intravenously

Dude, you don't know anything about this medication obviously. The locks and has nothing to do with blocking the effects from opiates, it is a deterrent put in Suboxone to stop people from injecting it. Euper nor feeling however the main ingredient in both Subutex and Suboxone is what blocks the feeling of getting high, so to speak. This is because buprenorphine binds to the opiate receptor at a higher affinity than any other opiates. If you don't know what you're talking about, then please just stay quiet. This board is for people who are here to see real answers to real questions. NALOXONE IS NOT A BLOCKER FOR THE LAST TIME PEOPLE!!!

Chris, I just saw where you called me ignorant... I didn't even read on because I won't be on here and argue with a child.
I have no idea what the heck you are talking about, and I suggest next time, instead of going off on someone, better to talk to that person first! Grow up who ever you are!
I'm one of the most down to earth kind person one can meet and never has anyone spoke a negitive word to me in this manner. So, I take what you say and in went in one ear and out the other!
Please dude

One thing I do want to say Chris...First, I wish BL was on here coz he/she would be the one to put you in your place..and I'm not saying this to have someone fight my Battle's.. But he wouldn't stand for you words either...No Respect!
Second, when I am speaking, I'm speaking from my own experiences... Not someone else's. How the medication effects me is what I discuss or explain in a conversation. I do NOT have a clue how the next person feels.
Peace

To be honest bro you will hear a hundred different people tell you a hundred different things. I was on a hundred plus dollar habit a day for around five years. I had many detoxes and rehabs I went through during that period. I was given Suboxone when you couldn't get generics and it was relatively new on the market. Now you can get ten generics of Suboxone and Subutex. REGARDLESS: Subutex and Suboxone both contain buprenorphine. Buprenorphine is a partial opiate antagonist or in lamens terms it binds to the opiate receptors (miu receptors) with a much greater 'stick' than vicodin, oxycodone, etc. to those receptors. This means when you take either Subutex or Suboxone you are filing your opiate receptors with this super strong binder called buprenorphine. If you were too take any opioids or opiates the buprenorphine would not give it's "place" up to those drugs. The only real way to release the bond of the buprenorphine to the receptors is time or narcan (naloxone). Now about two years back I was in school to become an addiction counselor and we had a class that had one of the original reps. of Suboxone come in to lecture and for q & a. The question was asked about what keeps someone from feeling high while on Suboxone and of course the answer i just have above was shared. Now another person asked, "what's the reasons for the naloxone them?" He simply said it is one of many ways we keep people from diverting the meds (not be able to misuse them as much; for example intravenously). Long story short Suboxone was originally just buprenorphine in other counties until it came to America and the fda told the makers of the Suboxone they must come up with a way to at minimum make it harder to divert or misuse this medicine or they would have to reclassify it to a higher class which would make it harder for patients to get a prescription and so on.... SOLUTION: add naloxone cuz it gets destroyed by the acid in your stomach just like buprenorphine does, that why it's taken sublingually. They have also went from pills to film again in an effort to keep the rate of diversion of Suboxone to a minimum, not for helping patients, but to keep the fda off their backs. I know people will tell you differently but i promise this is the true reason and difference between suboxone and subutex and like any med done patients might do better on one brand or generic than another. Sorry but to answer your question, I took these meds for years and never quit, not cuz the suboxone didn't help, it's cuz I wasn't ready. Once i was ready and took the suboxone the way im suppose to i got clean and now have almost 3 years no Suboxone and five no opiates. Hope this helped... Check out this stuff for yourself cuz people that say that you can take subutex and still have opiates are just spreading rumors.

The orange surfboard ones are available at Walgreens..... but I'm telling ya, they DEF SUCK compared to the white round subutex (both are sublingual--under the tongue)... and I would MUCH RATHER HAVE MY WHITE SUBS BACK!!! They last much longer. The orange ones don't do anything for my pain, and they both are expensive!! But at least the white ones work so I feel normal throughout the day, but the ORANGE ONES DO NOT. I'm so damn frustrated and pissed off this happened to me at the beginning of June. I'm already out and need to pick up a few more (as I used to do with the other ones).... your girl would be lucky and better off to stick with the white round generic subs..... I hope I helped you a little bit from my experience thus far from this month!! I'm Samantha...... and my pleasure to help. Anybody know which pharmacy carries my usual white ones? I'm in fort myers, Florida. Zip code to me is 33916.... ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!!! Thank you!

Re: liqpluspatchanactiq (# 20) Expand Referenced Message

What the hell did I just read? I guess just one long ass run on sentence about how knowledgable you are about bupe & opioids (I'm so totally impressed by the way) and abusing subutex. Just a suggestion - it sounds like the drugs are eating away substantial portions of your brain. Figured l'd let you know, just in case you weren't aware due to the substantial portions of your brains being eaten away. Again, super impressed by all your super important opioid knowledge. Keep up the great work.

@post #1,

Reviews from the following discussion thread do "suggest" that it works better than the white ones as well as the strips:
Discuss/orange-subutex-153-half-moon-286803.htm

@post #2,

No, these one's are not time-released... they are sublingual though.

@post #3,

Navigating google, I wasn't able to locate any images of the tablet. My guess is that it must be fairly new for there not to be any photographs floating around the net. I'll be sure to keep an eye out and post back if I do find a picture...

Hope this helps!

Rooster... Congrats...This proves you dont abuse and dont take pain meds with your medication. You should be proud of yourself. Most dont like suboxone because they cant take other drugs with it. Thumbs up!
