Oramorph Cause Diarrhea?

I have severe neuropathic pain but Oramorph doesn't seem to help at all, it just gives me the runs. Is this normal? I thought this stuff would help.

I suffer from neuropathy in both of my legs, and both arms. I have zero feeling in my feet and my left hand then my heart, bladder, and stomach are affected by the neuropathy also. I suffer from different type of pain throughout pretty much who body. I do suffer from fibromyalgia on top of many other health issues. For my medications I take for my neuropathy are Gabapentin 800 mg 3xday, Lyrica 100 3xday, cymbalta 60 mg 1xday, amitriptyline 100 mg 1xday, tramadol 100 mg 3xday, Opana ER 30mg 2xday, Percocet 10 mg 3 x day, and methocarbamol 750 mg 4xday. The Opana and Percocet is for other pain not just for neuropathy but mainly other pain issues. The funny thing is out of the narcotic pain medication the tramadol works the best for the neuropathy pain then the Opana ER and Precocet. I find that one or two medications doesn't work but the cocktail of medications helps out pretty well. There are some of those medications I take treats other health issues too. I take 35 different medications on a daily basis to treat a very long list of health issues. I found that between Gabapentin and Lyrica is that Lyrica works the best. My doctor is trying to get me off of the Gabapentin but she had me cut my dose in half and I had really bad withdrawal from it so I'm very slowly cutting back on the dose so hopefully I can get off of it. I had all of my pain medications stolen is the withdrawal from those were a 100 times better than the withdrawal from the Gabapentin. So if you start taking Gabapentin the withdrawal is really bad and I talked to many other people said the same thing. I have been living with neuropathy for 12 years now and I'm only 38 years old and it was caused by a medication called Paxil not from diabetes. So maybe talk to your doctor and see if they will recommend anyone of them or some combination of them to treat your symptoms. My neuropathy has steadily progressed over the last 12 years and it is not showing no signs of getting any better.
I too have severe Neuropathic pain in my left leg, I take Morphine Sulfate tabs every 12 hours and 30-40 ml of Oramorph every 4 hours when required. I also take diazepam 5mg 4x daily, Naproxen 2x 250mg 2x daily, and 1x Duloxetine 60mg capsule at night.
I find that the morphine works sometimes, probably on days when the pain subsides a bit, but the Duloxetine seems to help more, I stopped for a week, and restarted it as per my Dr instructions and I noticed a difference, I may ask if it can be increased and my morphine decreased. I have tried gabapentin at the highest dose with no effect to my pain, but it's always worth a try. I tried many before ending up on the above concoction of drugs, bar the diazepam which I have been in for a very long time due to a muscular diesease, of which I take a whole bunch of other meds, plus I have PoTS and take a med for that too. Must rattle if someone could shake me.
I would suggest trying the gabapentin, it works for some but not others. I have also tried acupuncture for my pain, which helped, the pain did seem to subside somewhat after only 3 sessions, it day take a few weeks to kick in though. I am just not as mobile as I used to be so I can't get to my pain clinic as often to have it.
Not every medication available works for every person that tries it, that's usually why there are several different options, sometimes even hundreds, in any given therapeutic category.

What other medications have you tried?
For nerve pain, many people have had good luck with the anticonvulsant medications, such as Gabapentin.

You may want to look into seeing if it, or another in the same category are available there and if they're safe for you to try.
