Opioid Withdraws Bridge Device

So I came across this article about the Bridge Device. It's like a mini earpiece that goes behind the ear, and is used to fight withdraw symptoms from opioids. I think the device is 3-4 yrs. old. What I want to know is why are we not hearing more about this in the supposedly deadliest times with overdoses!!?? We all know this has been going on since the time of the movie Drug Store Cowboy(70's)? And even before that all thru time people have been OD'ing. It's just now with the internet,news and cell phones it's plastered all over to make it worse than it really is. Back to my question has ANYONE out there tryed this had this going to get it or had a friend or relative that used this device so we all can get a better understanding of it. Cause I find it hard to believe that if this thing works why it's not being used country wide.Also does it help with just the beginning of the withdraws or can it be worn forever so you don't ever crave or go back to pills again. Cause suboxone and subutex is not a cure it's actually one of the STRONGEST things out there and coming off yrs. of suboxone I heard is a worse withdrawal than Fentynal and oxymorphone. So please get back to me I'm VERY interested to hear what the people have to say THANX

After a bit of research here is some information I found on the bridge device. The device is placed behind your ear and reportedly works by sending small electrical pulses to stimulate certain cranial nerves. The device is worn for up to 5 days during the acute pain phase of opioid withdraws.

While this device is FDA approved for marketing and sale I have been unable to find any definitive case studies supporting it's actual ability to relieve pain. In fact most of the studies done on the bridge device are either too small to get accurate results or they used medical practices that skirt the FDA ethic norms and rules.

I would also be interested if anyone here has had any experience with this device.
