On Prednisone For 7 Days, Stopped On A 20mg Dose. Having Bad Withdrawals..

It's coming to the end of my 3rd day without prednisone.I was only suppose to take 40mg for 5 days. However I don't metabolize medicines well & the side effects were way too rough on me. I did 3 days of 40 mg & 4 days of 20mg until the ten pills were gone. I took them inflammation of the lingual tonsils.

I'm having some pretty bad after effects, I get aura like feelings. I feel as though I could pass out, I keep getting.joint pains, my arthritis in my back is killing me. Around the same times everyday i get extremely fatigued, spaced out and useless. My anxiety episodes have berm intense & long. My temperate has been normal however, blood pressure normal if not a bit high at times. I'm just worried about having adrenal crisis. Is this something I should be worried about? How quickly does it happen if it occurs? What can I do to fight that?

Some of the symptoms you're experiencing could be adrenal crisis, already. It has been known to occur with as little as 5 days of use on Prednisone, in doses over 5mgs.

Feeling like you are going to pass out, joint pain and the extreme fatigue are all symptoms of it.

Thus, I strongly urge you to contact your doctor for medical assistance to be safe.

Well feeling like I'm going to pass out occurs around the evening around dinner, it only lasts for an hour or a few. It always goes away. I don't have low blood pressure or fevers either. My fatigue feeling hasn't been so extreme. It seems to happen every evening same time. I feel weak in the knees right now & having some intense anxiety. I called 2 of my doctors and they said i should be fine & to.give it time. Its sat night and i would rather not go to the er since i just have the passing out feeling nothing else

What is the proper way to take prednisone 20 mg?
18 tablets, For nine days. Do I take it w/food, how many hours apart do I take them each? It's hard for me to take them on a regular schedule, specially the morning one,cause I work swing shift and really long hours. Thank you

Hi has anyone had really bad side effects coming off of prednisone really sick stomach like a really bad stomach flu very very weak sleep a lot and I only took 40 mg a day for 10 days been off for 3 days just wondering how long this will last its horrible

20mg.prednisone for 4 days for inflamed lungs.Not sure what caused this.Given extra pills,if needed.Today,day 5, I took another.If I don't need one tomorrow can I safety just stop without taper? I wasn't given any other dose,only 1 20mg tab w/food in am. Thanks
