On Linzess 2 Weeks With Only 2 Small Bms

I started on the lower dosage 2 weeks ago, and I didn't go the whole week. Doctor bumped me up to the 290 dosage and have only had 2 very small bms a little loose. That is it! I keep reading about how everyone is getting diahhrea several times a day. I take it every morning 30 minutes to one hour before I eat or take any other medicine. It's like everything has stopped working. Even hard to pass gas. My stomach is distended and I have rumbling, but nothing coming out. Do I just continue to take and wait for it to work? So far, not very impressed with Linzess!

I'm sorry about the problem you're having.

Are you making sure to take it a full glass of water?

Unfortunately, this medication doesn't work for everyone that tries it.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, bloating and diarrhea.
