On Geodon Feeling Sedated Have Blurry Vision
UpdatedMy doctor started me on Geodon 80 mg about a month ago. It doesn't seem to be completely agreeing with me. I feel sedated and have blurry vision. Has anyone else experienced this?

my doctor started me just 5 days ago. i take it with lamictal. Well I am just now reading about it and so far not too happy. About three hours after taking it i have to go to sleep. No choice. Today I can't shake it. Slept 31/2 hrs and still tired, after 10 hrs last night. Is this the geodon or do i have something seriously wrong? I am bipolar
I'm sorry, my last reply was all about my problem. Since then have spoke to my doctor. He said to play around with the dose (without going over 80) like take 40 in am and 40 pm, etc. or different combonation. As long as it calms me and gives me more energy. So, maybe you could ask your doctor if you can also change around your dose. Good luck. Let me know if it works for you
hi, i take geodon too, i was on it 3 years ago but got off it a year later. i now take it again, and yes i did research and found that it does make people drowsy in the past week ive slept 10 hours every night and when i wake up im soooo tired but as the day goes on i start to wake up,if your like me and have a busy schedual, fit it in sometimes that your not busy every night even on weekends and have a early time that you get up in the morning that ways you will have about 8 hours every night and you will start to feel better because thats what i do and it actually works!!
This med has been a miracle for me. I take 60 mg. at bedtime, helps me sleep and feel great in the am. Maybe smaller dosage or take at bedtime will help fogginess.
YES-it's def ur geodon. when I was taking it (and lamictal & lexapro-but not together) and hour or so after taking I was incoherent and would literally just pass out no matter where I was. It took yrs to get past that effect. My dr that I whole-heartedly loved would just up my dose, I ended up changing drs bc of insurance reasons. My first visit with dr her first question was "why are you on this?" Every family member said I was way over medicated. I"m bi-polar too.
I am not liking the effects of 60mg Geodon two times a day. I can barely walk. I feel like I am dying of cancer. I have a headache all the time. My doctor won't take me off the damn pills. I am suffering badly.
