I am prescribed 16mg of suboxone films per day. Recently my baby was diagnosed with a red and yellow dye allergy. Seeing how the films are orange I'm assuming there must dye in them. I have cut things out of my diet in cycles to come to this conclusion. I was a chronic orange soda drinker and when it finally came to cutting that the rash my baby was getting went away for a couple days but now is back but milder, maybe because the only dye I'm consuming is frim my suboxone? I nurse her, which is safe to do on suboxone. But I'm jus wonderING about dye levels and if it's significant enough to pass to baby. I'll obv be talking to pediatrician soon but in the meantime...

Hello, Samantha! How are you and your baby?

Has a doctor confirmed the allergy?

When it comes to the skin of infants, there are many things that can cause rashes, because they are so sensitive.

When my son was an infant, and developed a horrible diaper rash, I mean to the point of bleeding, it turned out he was allergic to the substance used in a certain brand of diapers. Once we switched, it went away, and never happened, again.

The FDA warns that Suboxone may be habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
