Nucynta And Issues

Has anyone had a problem with nucynta making them sick. I've tried 3 different times now to start taking this medication and each time within 3 to 5 days I end up with upset stomach verging on vomiting, diarrhea, not able to think straight. I don't know if I've been truly sick over 3 times in a month or if this is a reaction to the medication. And it's not helping my pain. Any info would be great. Thanks

Those can be side effects of this medication, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience anxiety, constipation and heart burn.

Most side effects, however, are transient and tend to go away with time, once your body gets used to the medication.

But, if it isn't helping your pain, you may want to inform your doctor and see if you can try something else.

Yes, actually. My nrp, because I don't actually ever see the Dr, had me on morphine er tabs. I work 2 jobs and was having a problem with the morph making me sleepy. So she got mad told me I had to give her what was left of the morph before she would give me the nucynta and I had severe withdrawals. A. I didn't know that was going to happen. B. Is that going to happen with the nucynta? C. Was the nucynta supposed to cover or curb the withdrawals from the morph? I'm on day 2 of trying to take the nucynta again and waiting to see how I react. I was taking Vicodin for a work related accident in which I injured my back, hip and left leg. I'm on permanent disability from Worker's Comp. Now my doctor has given me Nucynta er, 50 mgs, twice a day. I get such headaches and nausea I can hardly stand it. It doesn't help the pain very much. Is anyone else having these issues. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow and I'm going to ask for something else, doubt that it will happen but I missed Thanksgiving and Christmas because I was sick.

I had to stop this medication due to the fact I was forgetting Everything, my keys, where was my phone, where did I put this. I was hiding things from myself and forgetting everything as well as massive paranoia BAD MEDICINE! STAY AWAY, IT IS GREAT FOR PAIN IF ALL YOU WANT TO DO IS SIT DOWN AND DO NOTHING REST OF YOUR LIFE!
