Norvasc And Swollen Ankles

I started taking 10 mg of Norvasc 4 days ago and my feet & ankles were swollen to capacity. They almost hurt and they felt very hot. It was given to me for high blood pressure.

Maybe try nisoldipine if you have insurance! if you have a medicare supplemental insurance, it may cost up to $300.00 a month. it really worked good for me, no side effects noted

I am taking 10 mg of norvas and 100 mg of losartan. My ankles are really swollen. Is that serious?

I am a 58 year old male and have been taking Norvasc for nearly 2 years. I have noticed that my breast have become enlarged and developed gynecomastia. I have never had this problem before. Has anyone else had a similiar experience. If so, can someone suggest a substitute blood pressure medicine that they have taken that has not caused this problem?

i use norvasc for my blood preasure now they change it for 10 i use to take 5 m is it al right

This is one of the bad side effects of the drug. I've been taking Norvasc for almost 6 years now. It had the same effect on me and I can only take 5 mg. a day without the swelling. I have also developed a rash on my lower legs as well and was told by a dermatologist that it could be from the medicine. I take 3 drugs to try and control my BP but I have yet to find anything that controls things. I've had hypertension for 20 years now and I fear that any day I will have a stroke or heart attack or kidney problems. Hope you will talk to your doctor about your ankles swelling. Most people have that problem with calcium channel blockers. Good luck.
