My doctor switched me from lortab7.5 to norco325 and the norco makes me sick to my stomach,why? ## Did he switch you to the higher dosage? There is a Norco available that contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone with the 325mgs of Acetaminophen, if you're on the higher dosage of it, then that may explain the nausea. Learn more Norco details here.

Can a person take l- tryptophan and the pain killer norco ## L-Tryptophan is a supplement that's used to help with sleep issues, however, as a supplement, it has not been tested for interactions with prescription medications. And what you have to be careful of is the fact that Norco contains the narcotic Hydrocodone, so it can cause depression of the central nervous system and this may be worsened if it is combined with the Tryptophan. yellow----oblong ## Hi ronald, I actually know someone who has the yellow oblong "Norco's". They contain Hydrocodone Bitartrate + Acetaminophen. my dr. gave me this medicine for pain and i have been having headaches and seeing black spots and getting dizzy alot and lightheaded also and i just need to know if these are some of the side effects that are in this medicine? ## Yes, those can be side effect of it. Not long ago I was given by the pharmacy a Norco IP110. Where as I had pushed this bottle aside and forgot it, I was dumb. These are the same as M367 which is Norco, an opiate for pain relief. I as well was at my aunts and she had thrown about 50 of them away, as she thought they were generic tylenol from Walmart, though I had stopped her. My point is, when the pharmacy gives you NEW SHAPED pills and/or color etc., they often forget to post the bottle. I almost made a very big mistake. The way things are in the world, opiates are hard to get prescribed and I for one am allergic to everything but this. im perscribed norco 10/325 but a friend gave me a vicoden m361 it has bitartrate is that detecable in a drug screen ## The bitartrate that you mentioned just refers to the specific chemical salt that the drug is derived from, however, the main drug is still Hydrocodone, in both Vicodin and Norco, coupled with Acetaminophen. I've been taking prescription norco for several years now due to health issues and prior injuries. Lately, I have taken more than my prescribed dose (around eighty to ninety mg a day). Tomorrow I have a possible swab test (second interview) and I'm wondering if I should be upfront about my script. I've been clean off norcos for six day after taking five a day for five years how long will the anxity that I now have last I already went through the detox part. ## After having been on them for such a long period of time, it may take a month, or so, before all of the effect of stopping them wear off. I've been taking norco for several years for a pinched nerve in my neck which causes numbness and burning in my left arm and hand and some times swelling , mostly in hand and fingers. Norco has provided the relief I need to live a normal life . The insurance I am with has discontinued the option to pay for norco, the replacement drug is not working for me.The pharmacy wants 2.50 a pill for norco, I was hoping to find on line for less, with out prescription on line ## There is no way to legally obtain it, without a prescription. Since I am on Medical only I had to change Primary Doctor 3 times because they just don't prescribe Norco for me even I am on this Drug over 4 months now and this is the kind I am able to tolerate.I live in Santa Monica is any Stigma about this drug or what I have no medication I called my Insurrance 3 times what can I do? ## Norco contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone and the latter is a narcotic opiate, so it can be habit forming and addictive. Therefore, many doctors are reluctant to prescribe it for long-term use and, in addition, doctor hopping to try to get someone to prescribe it may give the impression that you are a drug seeker and make them even more reluctant to do so. I want to reduce my use of 5325 Norco. I have a new hip replacement and not in that much pain. What do you suggest? ## Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. If you haven't been taking them for too long, this process should be much easier than the vast majority of withdrawals people go through from taking them for years on end. You can try calling various pharmacies within your area to see who can fill your script, but odds are slim that you will get a "yes" answer over the phone as opposed to being there in person. They aren't going to tell a stranger over the phone whether or not they have narcotics in stock. does this pill have same ingredients n it like the yellow norcos ## YES ## @Jeff, Belle is right that they do share the same active ingredients, however, they do have different dosages that you should be aware of. what is the difference between Norco 10 325mg Vs Loratab 500mg.? ## They both are different name brands for a combination medication that contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, but the dosages can be different. You didn't mention the dose of Hydrocodone in the Lortab, but the 325 and 500 would refer to the milligrams of Acetaminophen that are in them, it helps the narcotic to work better. Is there anything else I can help with?

Purchased Norco over the phone. 321 exchange. Pills came in a vacuumed plastic bag, obviously not a prescription. They were blue with WATSON 540 on one side and scored on the other. WATSON 540 is a generic (hydrocodone / tylenol). The writing doesn't look as deep as a normal WATSON pill. You don't get pain relief from this pill it makes you feel like you are on Valium. Anyone else had the same experience? ## Unfortunately, that is one of the hazards of ordering from a foreign country, without a prescription. My boyfriend got perscribed a blue norco with watson iand 540 on it?1000mg? what does this do?? ## Okay first off, there is no Norco that contains 1,000mgs of anything. The tablets with the WATSON 540 marking contain 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic pain reliever. Side effects may include: nausea, headache, dizziness and constipation. There is a generic hydrocodone with 650mg acetaminophen, usually green. I familiar with 5mg, 7.5, 10mg hydrocodone and the amount of acetaminophen gives the medication it's name in this case.

Just curious if people crush them. Not sure if norcos are time released or not! ## No, they are a regular release formulation so crushing to make them easier to swallow, or cutting them to take a lower dose is fine, unless your doctor, or pharmacist has instructed you otherwise. However, due to the fillers that can be used in tablets, it is not safe to do so for injecting or snorting them. ## I've crushed and snorted them...they have kinda peppery taste/smell,but it can be done :)
