My old doctor was in Michigan but I could no longer make the trip up. Doctors here give things my doctor has tried for years only to have them fail for my pain. Norco was only thing that actually worked. I have been pain free till I moved to Indiana. Now I can't get pain management to fill norco, but they offer morphine which I refused, so they refused to see me. Can anyone help here? It's bad enough I have hard time getting out of bed. I just want to live life and function. ## I hope a doctor from Portland see's this. I'm sick of the bureaucrat. To get relief from pain. I'm no way an abuser of norco but all these other meds don't work at all. So any doctor reading this comment, I l...
Hello Everyone! I will try to make this thread as short as I can. I got degenerative disc disease three years ago. I have been on Hydro 10/325 ever sense. Which worked wonders for me. I went to my Dr this week and found out i now have an elevated liver. Sign of to much Tylenol. I then went the next day to my PM Dr. and he prescribed me Norco. I told him about the elevated liver issue. Which i know I told him about. I called my PM Dr today and he said i did not tell him about the elevated liver. But, I have seen him for going almost 4 years. He RXed me Norco 10/325's. I thought that was odd but, trusted in him that he knew what he was doing. I had to take 3 Norco's that night and my pain never went away. Thankfully I still had 20 Hydros left from last month. I have researched on ...
I have been taking 20mgs of Norco (hydrocodone/apap) and now have hyd 30. Is that going to be too strong for me? ## The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation, dry mouth, and headache. What specifically have have you been prescribed?
When I take Norco 5/325 they don't put me to sleep and 3 hours later I will have a panic attack. Why is that? ## This is a narcotic that is used to relieve pain, so while they may cause drowsiness as a side effect, they are not intended to put you to sleep. The FDA lists its other side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. As to the panic attacks, it's hard to say, Are you on any other medications? Or do they only happen after taking Norco? Is it always at a 3 hour interval from taking it?
Are there any pain meds made with a 500mg of acetaminophen & 10mg of hydrocodone or oxycodone ect ## Hello, Nicole! How are you? Lortab, Lorcet, Norco and Vicodin were all brand names for medication combinations that contained Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. There are none that contain more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose, now. The ones with the higher amounts were all removed from the market. That includes the Oxycodone combinations, as well as all other combination prescription drugs that contain Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Percocet has up to 10 mg of...
oval pill with imprint N 60 unable to find it anywhere i was told it was a norco 60mg which does not make any sense please help ## I came across the same pill it is white with N on one side and 60 on other has an elliptical or oval type shape. Does this sound like yours? Did you find out what it was, any help would be appreciated ## Morphine 60mg guess they are pretty new bc I couldn't find online either. ## The oval white pill W/ N60 on it is A new brand of the 60mg Morphine XL. Hope this was helpful to you.???????? ## Are you positive that it's morphine? ## A white oval pill with a print N on one side and 60 on other side is a 60mg Morphine. It's a new manufacturer. It takes 5 extra mins to kick in. ## I just got mine filled n they said that's exactly what it is. It...
By congressional order, to reduce addiction in the population, all Norco drugs have been reformulated and the new formula has NO effect on severe or moderate pain. ## That is not correct. All formulations of Norco, Vicodin, Lorcet, and etc. still contain the same active ingredients, Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen. Congress has nothing to do with pharmaceutical drug laws, as of now, though that could change in the future, however, at this time, they all still contain Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, as dictated by FDA guidelines. The only change that was made awhile ago was to limit the amount of Acetaminophen that they contain to no more than 325mgs per dose of prescription combination products, in an effort to try to lower the number of overdose fatalities. The FDA also warns that this me...
I take Tramadol, Vistaril, Norco, and Gabapentin but recently i tested positive for amphetamines, benzodiazepenes, and Oxycodone. Is that possible? ## Well visteral is benzo, the amphimatines must be cmn from robitussin, but tramadol and norco are not oxycodone.
I had been taking Lorcet 10/750 since '97. When the Norco came out, the doctor changed me to Percocet 10/325, but it really made me constipated, so I asked to be changed to Norco. It does not last long enough. I have severe migraines, RA, OA, Spinal Stenosis, Sciatica (both sides), herniated disc at L-7. The PA I see at my PPO, has told me Lorcet was discontinued totally, but now I find that Lorcet 10/325 is still available. I never had issues with the constipation while taking Lorcet, but do have it with the Norco. I am a caregiver to my 85 yr old Mom. I really would like to switch back to Lorcet. My kidney function is good, although the Norco does affect urination, sometimes hardly voiding any urine. What can I do in this case? Thanks for your time and have a Blessed Day... ## Bot...
Is there a over the counter med that looks like a yellow watson 10/325 norco? ## To my knowledge there aren't any OTC medications that look similar, as this particular yellow Norco pill is unique to Watson. If there's any pills that come remotely close, I'd imagine them to be Mucinex DM or Guaifenesin + pseudoephedrine tablets. Do you have any reason to believe you may have received a fake pill from someone? ## No, I want my girl friend off norcos.I think its all in her head.I want something that wont hurt her like a vitiman. After a couple of weeks tell her I switched them and prove its only in her head. Placebo effect. Thanks ## I will begin by stating that regardless of your intentions, it is morally, and legally wrong to willfully switch a persons medication especially th...
if yellow norco and pink lortab get wet in same bottle will it turn to a brown powder. is this powder safe to eat and will it still stop pain. ## Definitely not qualified to answer this one... have some opinions, but will be quiet and sit over here... ## Hi curious, These medications are meant to be taken when in their original form (they should not be taken if they have been damaged or tampered with). Since both medications have been mixed together into a powder with water, their individual formulas have been altered and that could potentially make them very unsafe and ineffective. Also, there is no longer a way to measure out the correct dosage since two medications have essentially turned into one. Are there any pills left in the bottle or have they all turned into powder? ## What is...
PHOTO OF NORCO10-325MG TAB ## Norco contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. That said, since there are also generics on the market, I cannot possibly post pictures of all of the available tablets with this dosage, there are many different companies that make it and each must have a unique imprint to enable its identification. Some imprints with this dosing include: A 328, a white, oblong tablet IP 110, white, oblong 176, white, oval M 367, white, oblong V 3601, yellow, oblong RX 497, white, round NORCO 539, yellow, oblong WATSON 853, yellow, oblong And this just includes the ones I could find. Is your pill in this list? If not, please post back with the imprint and I will gladly look it up for you. ## what is the difference between blue and yellow norco ## is blue norco better than the ...
The white new norcos do not work, and I am back spending half my life in bed. Why is is they break in half so easily? The yellow ones couldnt be broken by hand. Who can we call? The DEA? ## Hi allie, It seems like a lot of patients have been experiencing problems with the Norco made by Actavis (formerly known as Watson). Apparently from what I understand, after Watson was bought out, Actavis made some "unnecessary" changes within the inactive ingredients, causing them to not be nearly as effective as their yellow predecessor. If you want to put in a complaint, I would suggest filing a report with the FDA under their MedWatch program, which can be reached at: fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/default.htm Maybe if enough people report similar problems they will consider making changes. But ...
its white it says m367on one side on the other side it has a line in the middle like u could snap it in half and its suppose to be 10-325 norco. never seen this ## Yes, this contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the generic for Norco. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more here: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## I snap them in half to control the nausea and pain, but it also keeps my head in check. These are very dangerous as 367 are real s***. Addictive... Sometimes I need both halves. But Sometimes you don't... If you can average one half not being taken for a day out of a 3 day pain regiment, there is still hope. Not to mention when it's bad and I need the pain relief, breaking it in half seems...
I've found it difficult to get this across because the line being towed by pharmasists and drug companies is a disciplined one.. You might get an honest answer from an independently owned pharmacy pharmasist.. But the truth is there are in many cases huge differences in generics and brands.. Ask yourself why a brand is $150 to the gen. $4.00..?? What confuses me is why isn't the public at large more sure of this crooked racket.. I've got nerve damage and have been on Norco for years. This is a great drug to hold up as an example of the nastiness being practiced. Now you won't find wide ranging discrepancies in heart meds or blood pressure meds but you absolutely will within the opioid and benzo family of meds. If you really want the truth ask your doctor, they know.. Tha...
I have been taking tromadol for 4 years. I just had surgery and was given the strongest Norco. I want to stop taking tromadol all together and see how I do with over the counter for arthritis. Can I taper tramadol while taking the Norco or will side effects be worse when I'm out of Norco? ## Actually, Norco is stronger than Tramadol, so it would usually cause the worst withdrawals. The FDA lists it typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. How long will you be on the Norco? ## 7 days is all I am taking the Norco. I am off work 2 to 4 weeks so I thought it would be a good time to taper the tramadol.
I had twins 10 months ago and since have had intense neck and upper back pain. Had an mri that found degenerative disc and facet disease, a bulging and hernaited disc etc. Have been getting norco from gyno for past 6months and it helps so much during the day so i can take care of twins. Been to two pain docs who will only give ibuprofen and muscle relaxers. I feel like they are not listening to me. Last one said im too young for the hydrocodone or surgery! Thats not acceptable to me. Any one have luck with docs in this area?
UpdatedI have a high tolerance to hydrocodone but have a 5mg norco and a 300mg lyrica. If I take them both will I feel the hydrocodone? ## Neither one blocks the other, but you should not take this combination, unless your doctor approves. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Norco as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. Have they both been prescribed for you?
which colors are strongest to weakest? white, yellow, or peach ## The yellow and white oblong tablets imprinted with NORCO over 539 on one side and blank on the other, reportedly contain a dosage of 10/325. I think the white version might've came after the yellow one, but both seem to carry the same National Drug Code of 52544-0539. I also located a peach and/or white oblong tablet with NORCO over 729 imprinted on one side and blank on the back that reportedly contain a dosage of 7.5/325. Lastly, there's a smaller 5mg/325mg Norco tablet that's white with red specks; imprinted with WATSON on one side and 913 on the other. Hope this helps!
I'm in so much pain with my legs and back, all I can do is lay in bed. Can I take Norco every 3 hours? ## You should not take it more frequently that your prescription directs. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. How often have you been directed to take it?
