Norco Shortage In Michigan (Page 6)

Is anyone else having problems finding a pharmacy to fill their scripts of Norco? I have been taking them for a few years now for my chronic pain. I always go to the same pharmacy chain, and its always the same doctor who writes my scripts, but since the new law change no one seems to have them in stock. Some pharmacists told me it was a manufacturer back order. We are told not to go without our meds, but yet how is that possible if we can't get them? Anyone knows of a pharmacy that has Norco 10/325 in the metro Detroit area?

Let's try this sine the other may not get posted.....
For withdrawl....( at home) look up the Thomas Recipe.
Ask your doctor for tramadol at least til you can get the other. Go for better than 50mg dose. Helps immensely or even completely with withdrawl even tho it is non narcotic.
Next, ask for a benzo and clonidine.....these 2 together are great for wd's as well as immodium which you will read about in the Thomas recipe.

You know, this is what gets me......there was NEVER a production limit before hydrocodone changed to schedule 2. They also said that this new scheduling wasn't going to mess with people's everyday lives it's just you have to have a written script for the pharmacy every time. Now, they can write a total of 3 scripts....one per month....that you hand to your pharmacy at the same time. That's for people who don't or, didn't need to see their dr every month but now they will have to see them every 3 months. Well, I see this is messing with EVERYONES lives! You MUST go to your doctor and tell them what is going on and they can give you something else in the meantime. Our stories are easy to prove with one phone call from doc to pharmacy. Also, print out this thread to prove to your dr that you are not the only one having trouble! I can't see how just relabeling can be causing so many problems all over the US. It's downright crazy and, IMO, criminal! What are they doing for cancer patients? See, they have been trying to get rid of narcotic use in the non cancer chronic pain group. Like our pain is any less real because we don't have cancer? I'm not dissing people with cancer....honestly, I'm not......it's a legit question and statement! I will have my dr admit me to the hospital if need be! I pay my own way....no insurance.....but it would be very expensive. Then, I will sue the pharmaceutical co's and make them pay my hospital bill. After all, if it wasn't for them we wouldn't need to be in the hospital, right? They think all of us chronic pain people are uneducated burdens on society and they want to get rid of us somehow! Well, I, as well as most people I know in chronic pain, are educated, productive members of society! I may not be able to do my nursing job but that neither makes me uneducated nor unproductive! I could go on & on but I know ya'all know exactly where I'm coming from! It feels good to let it out, though!

I went to about 20 pharmacies today from Detroit to Dearborn in search of Norco 10/325. Every single place said they were out w/ no idea when they'd have more. Help!! I'll drive anywhere within a 15-mile radius of Detroit. Detroit never has them, but I can usually find them in the burbs. This is crazy!

Hallelujah, 50+ pharmacies later I finally found Norcos at Lakes Pharmacy in W. Bloomfield. The pharmacist seemed surprised when I told him how scarce they were. Even the hospital pharmacies were out!

still, still, still cant fill 4weeks later, what the heck. let me guess now I have to throw this script away and get another because its 30 days old MF ers. I have reached my limit of patients. someone needs to be accountable. And here in Michigan the only state in the union you can not sue the pharmaceutical companies because of our attorney general Bill Schutte. guess whom I will NOT vote for tomorrow in the elections. I advise everyone else here to do the same. I cant take the constant pain anymore. !!!!!

If you are calling these pharmacies to see if they can fill your script perhaps they are telling everyone they are out. Try going in to ask them as you might find some. I'm sure they fill the actual paper scripts first and don't hold meds for those who call in.

Walgreens on 13 mile and Ryan has them Just dropped off my prescription but the pharmacist said they are limited

Just an fyi call first, I also know the same Walgreens has 7.5s limited as well. And the walgreens on 11 mile and John r has the 5s and is supposed to get a shipment this afternoon hopefully...

You can ask for tramadol or crappy Tylenol 3-4s but I find the withdraw from tramadol worse. Also working at a veterinary office tramadol is now a controlled substance as of a few months ago. Gabapetin is not controlled and I sometimes take this to break up how much Tylenol or acetaminophen I'm putting into my body and it seems to help with my fibromyalgia

Ok so. Found a Walgreen that has them. West rd and telegraph. My wife drove down there and they told her that they cant fill it for jer because we dont live with in a 15 mile radius. And we live just about that. And we normally get them filled at the Walgreen by our house. What a bunch of bs. It also seems like they dont want to fill them unless you have other scripts to fill.

I had knee surgery on right knee in Aug took vicodan then had to have surf on left knee one month later and having problems getting any dice new law by Dea passed I live in n caliif. I. Have talked to 6 pharmacists and have been told. They have no idea what the problem is--that was today CVS. Med will be inn in its not-- packaging - ii could go on but not one of them gave me an answer.CVS was the worst. My son drove me up to the drive up window and they said I had to walk into store and hand them the script. We explained I couldn't walk. We asked if I could hand them the script would that work. From the drive through window. They said no. I. Asked my Dr and he said he hadn't heard there was a problem getting the medicine and he is an orthopedic Dr. I am telling all my friends to cancel any planned surgeries How can theDEA get medical information about a patient when we have the patient confidentially law effect?

Well I'm in las Vegas and i can't find them anywhere it's been a month and when u find somewhere that might have them they look at your records and go well you been to two different pharmacies in the last two months and im like what am i supposed to do if one is not carrying what i need norco 10-325 they really make me feel like a dope fiend and not someone who is in chronic pain smh. They need to fix this quick.

Totally agree, no matter what happens we need to know who is responsible and if we can't sue them in Mi. sue in Federal court. Someone must be held responsible for this pain!
