Norco Shortage In Michigan (Page 11) (Top voted first)
UpdatedIs anyone else having problems finding a pharmacy to fill their scripts of Norco? I have been taking them for a few years now for my chronic pain. I always go to the same pharmacy chain, and its always the same doctor who writes my scripts, but since the new law change no one seems to have them in stock. Some pharmacists told me it was a manufacturer back order. We are told not to go without our meds, but yet how is that possible if we can't get them? Anyone knows of a pharmacy that has Norco 10/325 in the metro Detroit area?
Dear Painfully Annoyed, listen, downriver family pharmacy in southgate, michigan on dix toledo road has plenty of norco in stock, in fact they have many other benefits, no maps system, and they fill five days early, hope this helps take care

Mick, hey theres a pharmacy called home pharmacy of dearborn located off a little side street off michigan avenue, sorry i dont know the name of side street but i know for sure that they are fully stocked with NORCO and the lady pharmacist is awesome, i used to deal w them, best of luck
Tony M, Thank you so much. I have a herniated l4/l5 and I can barley walk even with pain medication so this is a great help again thank you.
Not one Pharmacy has Norco in stock. My friend has a broken back, leg, ribs & needs his pain medication. Changing it to a class 2 was a mistake & is causing so many problems. People that have been on them for years are going to end up in the ER for serious withdrawal & pain. Just because some overdosed on the medication it is not our fault. Millions of prescription were taken as prescribed so 17,00 people mixed it with other drugs & caused their own death, No E file prescriptions so every month you have to take off work to go pick up your RX. The FDA needs to rethink this process as it is causing too many problems. All Medical records are supposed to be electronic. \
Thanks tony. I talked with my doctor. And she switched my meds to oxycotton. They work better amd I had no problems getting them filled. I would recommend everyone trying to get there script changed.
I have a new prescription for Norco 10 as well and have gone to 15 pharmacies so far and am being told they're out. Of course they don't know when they're getting more. I tried to call around but they won't tell me if they have it because they need to see the prescription. I am having surgery in 3 days and don't know where to turn :(
Exactly! I'm in Vegas as well and am having the same problem. Ugh!!
Has anyone here tried medical marijuana for chronic pain, previously I would not consider but under the circumstances, it seems they are pushing us in this direction. What with everything else being unavailable !!! This is a serious question so please no smart comments!! I am just a man in pain !!!!!
I tried it and it didn't help one iota. I sent my card back and they didn't seem to know how to handle it. I finally got a 25 dollar refund 6mo later. I did just what the doctor said and got a vaporizer and then tried every way known. I even made oil with it to cook. Still In pain and paranoid and came to the belief that anyone who says this takes away their pain, had no real pain to begin with.
same in Jacksonville Florida can't fill my prescription of hydrocodone all the pharmacies said they can't get them they're on backorder
Have you gotten sick to your stomach from these? They do take away pain for me but I toss my cookies with that stuff. Don't know why.
Billy. Put the pipe down and set away from the computer. .....
was able to get my prescription filled but they are now white instead of yellow, whats up with that. 10/325, was the yellow dye the real problem, but cant be announced due to massive liability to the pharmaceutical companies ???
I have been on these since my car accident, all other options even multi-level disc replacement in my neck didn't take my pain away, I have to go to pain management 3x a month and p.t. 2x a week STILL and its been over a year. With that been said my surgeon prescribed tramadol which is an addicting opiate that does no more relief than a tylenol. My pain management Dr. just put my back on norco 10/325 the pharmacies all told me the same, if this is known why are the DOCTORS not prescribing a REPLACEMENT while patients are unable to fill these scripts? They must know of this. (Not saying its their fault and no they don't need to fix it but why not explain the situation and prescribe a replacement while the change takes place?)
Why would they "NOT "classify it as a schedule 2 drug is the question? They are all opiates and all derived from the poppy plant and have the same active ingredient. To someone who abuses opiates they're all the same and you will get the same buzz. If you don't have an OxyCotton you will take five or six Percocets if you don't have five or six Percocets you will take 10 or 12 norco. So of course Norco should be classified in the same category. It's an opiate just like the others just a smaller dosage.
Can't find Norco in Las Vegas. My doctor gave me Tramadol
to see if this will help me.
Ok guys and gals. I called Watson pharmaceuticals and they told me that they are currently shipping to all Wholesalers in Michigan. So call your pharmacies and ask them to contact there wholesalers and find out what the problem is.

I would be willing to share in any complaint, or class-action suit. If anyone knows a pharmacy in the Daytona Beach, FL, Volusia County, area that does not claim to be out of stock, please respond. Walgreens and CVS are not a possibility.
BS-If there is a shortage it is because they want there to be a shortage.
