Non-benzodiazepene Anxiety Treatments

Looking for ideas of alternative anxiety treatments other than benzodiazepenes. I do not know if I can be prescribed benzos due to my medical history. I was wondering if anybody had any ideas or other alternatives that I may ask my doctor about?

BuSpar is an option, the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and weight loss. It is not considered addictive.

Many SSRI and SSNRI antidepressants can also treat anxiety. It really depends on which one works best for you.

Are you on any other medications?
