No Side Effects And Free To Eat What I Want

I was on warfarin following a cerebellar infarct and i really struggled with trying to keep my diet consistent to maintain my INR level and the side effects of warfarin got so bad I was going to stop taking it! My consultant said the risk of another strok e was too high as I have AF and he prescribed Pradaxa. Within three weeks I felt so much better. I have been taking pradaxa for over a year now and no side effects at all. Some of the side effects from warfarin took a while to clear but they have now all gone. No alopecia, the pains in my toes, which were stopping me from walking too far, have completely gone, no nausea and no more feeling like death warmed up! I know the risks associated with pradaxa but to be honest I am happy to take them as I now have a good quality of life. If I had one wish it would be that an antidote for bleeding is found soon but I have every confidence that there will be one. Fingers crossed that I won't ever need it.

It's really good to hear such a positive review amongst all the negative comments on these drugs. I was browsing through the forum here and noticed a few other discussion threads with individuals switching over from warfarin to pradaxa; but many of their posts are very concerning about the overall safety of the medication: Discuss/Pradaxa-Information-229151.htm

I know it effects everyone differently so this is not to get your hopes up, but I would just remain cautious of certain side effects while you take it.
