Nitrofur-macr 100 Mg For Bacteria? (Top voted first)

Can you use Nitrofur-Macr 100 MG to treat a gum infection? I know it is normally used for kidney/bladder infection but it does fight bacteria so am just wondering. Any advice would be appreciated. I've had gum infections in the past. Being diabetic leaves me more at risk for them. I do recognize when I'm beginning another one.

The problem is that not all antibiotics are appropriate to treat all bacteria, additionally, you may not have enough of it to fully eradicate the bacteria and that could result in your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria.

It would be best to consult your doctor or dentist, so they can make sure that the appropriate antibiotic is prescribed.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Turns out I had to use 500 MG of amoxicillin 4 times a day for ten days.
