New Meloxicam Patient, Still Have Pain..
UpdatedHello yes I am new to this medicine, 4 days to be exact. At first I was optimistic but I currently am experiencing pain. The pill is 7.5/ mg. I have a hip replacement and femoral rod and an in-stable knee where I also experience pain.My question is when will this medicine go into full swing? I feel like it may have worked and then stopped which is so weird to me. Please help and I am open to suggestions.

Hello, Jocelyn! How are you?
This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it should have started working, within 15 to 20 minutes of taking your first dose. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation.
It could be that it isn't the right medication to help you, or you may need to take a higher dosage. Have you discussed the problem with your doctor?
