Re: anon (# 7) Expand Referenced Message

Hello. I posted previously that the adderall generics 30mg xr with 3061 in them do not work for me at all. I had my Dr write daw on my prescription this time to be sure to get the regular brand which everyone is out of apparently there's a huge shortage worldwide. So my pharmacy tried giving me these again last month I told her to open one up please and these are not the beads inside it is powder which is really not a form of xr. I have since lost my job and having headaches etc. Mind you I have been taking these meds along with the 5mg regular release adderall for like ten years never problems till now. Anyways I tried the Impax brand last month and I took one and a half of these and still a little sluggish but nothing compared to the ones with the 3061 imprinted on them. if you are getting generic adderall you may need to increase this dose to get rid of the brain fog like I had.

Hello

I had this also happen to me in the last few months when I changed to the generic brand of adderall and have had sooo many problems with this generic medication. I had the 30 mg caps of orange adderall with the 3061 imprinted on these and literally was fatiqued and it caused short term memory problems etc. This brand was actavis also I believe.

Corpharma doesn't make IR Adderall anymore. I asked around and even a pharmacy that was willing to order any brand for me, wasn't able to get the Corpharma pills.

I have never tried IR Adderall 20 mg from Sandoz, I used to be on Adderall XR since I was 16 until I keep getting the generic orange ones that said r3061 made by actavis they were junk so my doctor switched me to IR Adderall 20 mg 3X a day I got the generic ones made by teva and it was like I didn't take anything at all!! I thought I was loosing it until I researched it. I know it all has to do with the fillers. I have heard cor phama is the best now, so I will be having my pharmacy order them or I will go else where. I know that Teva bought actavis so no wonder the generic IR Adderall isn't working. So frustrating another month a meds not working!! I also heard that cor pharma was bought be another company to so I hope they don't change their generic Adderall. I did make a complaint to the FDA about Teva!

We are getting scammed! I don't want any of this foreign watered down crap! I've been taking Sandoz generic IR Adderall 20mg 3x per day for years and know how it is supposed to work! This latest batch has got to be the absolute weakest of any of the rest of the weak batches I have gotten this past year! This is just like taking a placebo! I have so much to do, and as a result of completely ineffective medication, productivity is completely out the window! I might as well throw my hands up and quit! Please, everyone contact the FDA. The American people should not put up with this abuse from greedy pharmaceutical companies! We pay higher prices, more than any other country in the world for medication, and this is the kind of crap we get?!! Make your voice heard and ring the FDA's phone off the hook! If we don't, nothing will ever change!

I so agree with you, I have been on Adderall XR 30 mg since I was 17 and the new generic orange ones do not work so frustrating! I hope my doctor switches me to the regular Adderall.

I literally had tears while reading your post. I have felt so alone! Going through a drug treatment program has only left me conflicted. I ended up doing things way out of character, like stealing money my husband had hidden just to get extra pills in hopes the med would start working again. I wish I had put 2 and 2 together in the beginning. I am now only on Zoloft, as my Dr. wanted to give my brain a chance for recover. But the loss of motivation and direction has really put me in a depressed state. I always thought I was a good person, but what I did in the last 2 years makes me question that. I am hoping my Dr will put me back on it, requiring brand name. Out of my trial and error recently, I discovered Actavis generic didn't help me at all, and felt dirty. Impax leaves me jittery. Both gave me high blood pressure, something that was never a concern before. I hope you haven't had problems to the extent that I did, I could have lost a lot. Now I am rambling and don't remember what my point was. Anyway thanks for sharing. I keep telling my husband that I wasn't looking for a high, I just wanted to feel 'normal' again, but I crossed a big line trying to achieve that.

well, i've been prescribed 60 mg generic adderall daily for over 2 years now..& i've done extensive research regarding generic differences, & i've come to a conclusion..unfortunately generic adderall is made in India and foreign land. They have fillers & binders that certainly effect each person differently. Hense why i've got so much inconsistent info all around on the topic of this..some say one thing some say another, in my opinion, & to me anyway...i have never got teva more then one month in two years on it..ive read teva footballs use to be the best u can get an pink cor pharma was the worst, this was years back..now people say it's reversed and pink are best an teva worst..but i don't believe that...i believe you must analyze yourself on how your body adjusts to each one...the fillers in generics effect each body differently and that is a fact...to me, i wont get anything except pink cor pharma, once got teva footballs, an was instantly very sick..(KNOWLEDGE IS POWER FOLKS)

Yes!!! You are telling MY story!!!! All of the details are the same. I'm 36, and been on medication for the same length as you have except I was originally prescribed 15mg dextroamphetamine from barr. They really were a life and career saver for me. Once barr was bought out by who the f ever it was, downhill. All the same symptoms as you, complete thoughtlessness. I'll often just stand in my kitchen trying to figure out what it is I should be doing with myself. I get absolutely nothing done, they should rename the drug "counterproducterall".

I will go through 90 of my 15 mg in 2 weeks. Recently I have done research and found out about the barrs buyout so my dr and I switched to d-amphetamine salts 1 20 mg ir a day and 1 30 mg xr. It is ridiculous to think of the amount of drugs in my body and I feel nothing that even resembles what I once cherished about the medication, to be alert, connected and present. Now I'm feeling the opposite and I don't know what to do. I'm thinking my time is up for being medicated and I'll go back to laying on the couch and waiting for take out because the dishes are all dirty. Thanks a lot pharmaceutical companies and drs!! First you create a generational opioid addiction epidemic and now what.... I'm taking back control of my life, starting ......after this nap. Zzzzzzz.

No placebos are not all the same. In school -years ago- learned that generics can be 80-120% the effectiveness of brand. So generic to generic they could be equal or from -40 % to +40 % less/more effective. That's a huge difference. Don't know if same standard applies today but years ago that's what we were told.

I have tolerated both fine the blue Activis is a different story. I can't concentrate very "speedy" and no ability to focus on anything longer than a few minutes I don't know what the difference is but teva/Barr and activis calm me and stay organized and awake without feeling like I'm on something

I totally agree. They are terrible. I switched pharmacies. I too, just wanted to sleep. My mind was more scattered than with no meds. HATE THEM!!

I feel better, knowing others have noticed. I was afraid the part of me that had the addiction was just making up excuses. On your next refill, I would ask the pharmacy which brand you have gotten in the past and if they have any different brands. If not, try Walgreens or CVS. Most pharmacies should be able to order a different brand. And talk with your doctor. I think while I was trying different stimulants, it sort of helped to wean me off, so the withdrawal wasn't so bad. It's so frustrating to know how good life can be with meds, but not being able to get it back. At times it makes me wish I didn't know how good it could be.

responding to 36 yo woman. pretty much the exact same story with me, I get 60 a day, I use them up in two weeks, then withdraw for 2 weeks. can take 120 a day no problem , the only way it works for me. pretty much a useless drug anymore, I get the generic all orange 30 er pill. don't know who its made by.

I am a 36 year old woman. I was diagnosed with ADHD in 2009, (although looking back I don't know how anyone missed the signs) I have taken Adderall since 2009 same dose with no problems. Until somewhere in 2014, I started getting the blue pill. Didn't think much of it except for the money I was saving. But at some point, I noticed I was losing my focus and becoming more impulsive. A couple of times I took two doses in a day because I thought I had forgotten it. Eventually I was taking more and more and achieving less and less. In hindsight, I should have talked with my Dr. about it, but I was afraid he would stop my prescription. At this point I was physically addicted. By 2016, I was going through my 60 EA 20mg pills and 30 EA 25 mg pills in a matter of a couple of weeks. There were days I easily took 150- 200 mg a day. I was still able to fall asleep fine, and I managed to gain 40 lbs in 2 years. The summer of 2016, I started researching, and realized most of this began when I started taking the Actavis brand. I talked to my Dr, and we began trying other meds. I have been on focalin, Vyvanse, and a nonstimulant. My body has recovered from the physical withdrawal of the Actavis Junk. I have had 2 months back on Adderall. The first being a different generic, right away that fog was gone and I could think clearly. The second month, I started with Actavis, just as an experiment. Back to the fog, and forgetfulness (what other people view as carelessness). After a week I took the rest back and told the pharmacy my experience. They switched the rest out. There is a whole lot more to my story, I just wonder if I'm alone? Out of concern I started going to rehab because of the addiction side of this and the problems it caused. Has anyone else had anything like this?

Thank you for your input.
I have a better understanding of what the difference is between the two generic medications. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE
