Nefrosave Tablets To Protect Kidney

I have had high B.p since the last 10 years, high blood sugar for the last 6 years. I take medicine called jalra m, volibo 0.3, Trigilimsave forte for my B.P and I take losar H. Now at this time my Hba-1 7.9, s.creatine 1.4 , fbls 157. Plbs 256. My dr. started me on nefrosave tablets 1-0-1 but i am very tense regarding my kidney health.

My mother is a diabetic since 7yrs. She often suffers from URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS and her blood report has just recently started showing protein in urine. Her doctor has prescribed nefrosave to protect her kidney. She doesn't have bp. She is just a diabetic. I would like to know if nefrosave is the right medicine for preventing protein formation in the urine. Please elaborate

I have only one kidney. The lone kidney is suffering from hypertensive nephropathy! My creatine value is 1.81. Is Nefrosave useful to alleviate my condition?

Nefrosave reportedly contains a combination of n-acetylcysteine 150 mg + taurine 500 mg.

N-acetylcysteine comes from the amino acid L-cysteine and has been touted for use in treating wet coughs, preventing asthma attacks when inhaled, preventing liver damage caused by an overdose of acetaminophen (when taken orally), as well as treating skin problems (e.g. rashes) when applied topically.

Taurine is a byproduct of the sulphurous amino acids cysteine and methionine, and plays an important role in the metabolism of fats, glucose and excess insulin.

@Skdhar - Neither one of these ingredients are marketed for use in treating hypersensitive neuropathy (at least to my knowledge).

@Shagufta - The Taurine portion of this medication may be helpful in regards to your mother's diabetes. However, it's probably best that she works closely with her doctor to determine an effective dosing regimen.
