This isn’t true anymore. My doctor in Ruston, Louisiana accepts Medicaid payment for the visit. His name is Dr. Allen Herbert. There are many many more now that are starting to accept Medicaid as payment. You just have to search for them.

If you call your Medicaid Healthy Blue United Healthcare etc. You should have a caseworker and there is an office I want to say on Canal or Broad that you have to make an appointment with. I will look into it more.

Hey Tobey, I'm the same situation. I think this in your area. (337) 786-5007. They accept Medicaid. Idk if the Dr's name is Jagit Chadha or not but I think he also takes Medicaid. If those don't work out look up behavioral health centers in your parish bc they also accept Medicaid. Hope this helps :)

Iidk what area you're in but I'm going to the behavioral health center in Slidell this Friday. They accept Medicaid but idk if it's outpatient or not. It's a walk in clinic.
