Need Subutex Doctor Near Atlanta

I really need help. I've been on opiates for 4 years for a back injury resulting in surgery. I am addicted of course and ready to get my life back. I have taken suboxen but get irritable, depressed, and a headache that won't go away for the entire time I am on them. I need to find a dr that prescribes subutex. Can someone please help me? I have a family that needs their wife and mom back. Thanks

Well, the first question is, has your body simply become dependent on them, or are you actually addicted?

Being addicted means that you've been abusing them, taking more and more than you've been prescribed, because you like the effect they have on you, so keep that in mind, before you answer the question.

If you've only been taking them in therapeutic amounts as prescribed, then that would explain why you've had such a reaction to the Suboxone.

Suboxone and Subutex are only intended to treat severe addiction, not someone who's just become dependent on their regular medications.

In the case of dependence, a slow tapering of the medications, which your doctor can help you with, is usually all that's required, though there may be times that it's still tough.

I have become addicted to where I abuse them. Wow thats hard to write. I am on 120 30mg roxicodones along with 60 percocet 10mgs a month. I end up taking close to 7 a day. Some days I have pain and really need them but some days I don't. I know I use them as an escape from stress of life. Or a way to not deal with past traumatic experiences. I am also bi-polar do in essence I am self medicating as well. But I want my life back. I want to take Aleve if I am in pain. I will not stop abusing opiates if I am prescribed suboxen. I have gone to a suboxen Dr and tried. I had huge side effects that left me wanting to go right back to taking opiates. When taking suboxen like I mentioned in my first post I become depressed, I have an ongoing headache the entire time I am on them. I dont know if I should just be honest with a dr and tell him just that. I can beat this addiction on subutex. Get me on a subutex program and let me taper off. Drug test me every week if you have to. Im committed to this recovery. I just cant use suboxen to do it and if I could I certainly would.

If anyone knows of a dr near Atlanta, ga please let me know. I dont know how to pm. But I certainly will figure it out if privacy of that dr is a concern. Please, anybody?

Dr. Jarrett in Athens 706-543-8088. I have been seeing him for a year or so now and he put me on Subutex for the same reason. Bad part he is planning on semi-retiring this year and only going to keep a small number of patients (luckily I'm one of them), but I do know he is looking for other doctors to send his other patient. He may be a good source since he is looking for other doctors. Hope this helps. Good luck.
