Need Help Finding Doctor To Prescribe Either Oxycodone Vicodin Or Methadone 10mg For My Chronic Pain (Page 22)
UpdatedI have been suffering from chronic pain for 7 years and have always been on and off pain meds from tylenol 3 to 90mg methadone at the worst of any ever taken. I decided to dose down & get off of methadone as I did not care for the "clinic" enviroment per say as I was using more for pain then for addicition. I found a dr that prescribed me the pain meds for breakthrough pain and the pill form of methadone 10mg was what I chose but now he is gone as he lost his license which sucks for me because NO ONE will give me anything, not even the methadone unless I go back to the stupid clinc and I so don't want that... DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A DR. that would prescribe anything or just something to get me through life with less pain? I am in the twin cities of Minnesota and I will drive if need be.
I just got out of jail. I have been on a opioid for 20 years with no problems. They even gave them to me in jail. I am haveing a hard time finding a doctor in Bath Maine area to treat me how do I find a doctor willing to treat me
huey123456, were you in jail for drugs ? If you were, you more than likely won't be able to find a doctor that will prescribe you opiates. Even if you weren't the chances are not good of finding a doctor. What reasons have the doctors you have seen given you for not prescribing you opiates ? A lot may also depend on what you have been taking and how much.
Need a pain doctor in southern nh to prescribe percoset for chronic back pain.
My Primary Care Doctor has informed me "it is to be MANDATED that individuals on daily high dose of opioids see a pain management specialist or someone board certified in addiction medicine to review and help mitigate any potential unintentional harms that may come with these medications".
I am currently happy with my current meds and do not want a doctor that will require i use non-opioid meds. I have and they do not work.
Does anyone who will prescribe narcotics I'm in Charlotte no my primary stopped prescribing I'm in slit of pain I have diabetes very bad even had 3 toes removed the bottom of my legs r black. My current pain doc has me in pâté he's not helping at all . I had been in Percocet for years but these pain clinic emit per scribe them any ideas????
Can u suggest any pain management doctors in Baltimore maryland
Not trying to bring anyone down but starting two days ago the guidelines for prescribing opiates have changed. Most, if not all pain doctors will only prescribe the equivalent of 100mg of morphine a day which is nothing to chronic pain patients who have been taking much higher doses for many many years. I am in this position and ended up on a methadone program. It has taken away most of my pain and there are no highs and lows with it. I am not recommending it for anyone, just letting you know what worked for me.

Tramadol is now considered a narcotic drug! You have to take a physical prescription to your pharmacy... anyway in Tampa and St. Petersburg, FL.
Karl, it is recommended, not mandated. Many primary doctors are referring patients, though.
Can i also have the name of your doctor please? I suffer from chronic pain that's not in my back so most pain managements won't help me.
Terbear, Tramadol is a Schedule IV in Florida. It is Not a Schedule II like Morphine, Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, etc.
Tramadol is a analgesic. Works perfect for my left eye pain. Not for Lupus or siatica lower back and down the leg pain. Tramadol has been added to the class of meds that need pain mngmt scripts.
Did you find a doctor in Phx? My husband needs to supplement for his chronic pain. The pain clinics are a complete joke! They even overrode his prescription that he was supposed to fill after surgery! Any referral would help.
My doctor will prescribe pain meds but even with a prescription Walgreens is now tightening up and even refusing to give me Soma ( Generic )
What angers me is the main office automatically called in my refill and my Doctor approved it but the pharmacists said I had to wait four more days. Why did they call it in and then make me feel like a jerk. Now Soma is a bad drug too. They say it is scheduled. I am not a new customer and they know my issues. My old prescription was filled on December 28. I must wait till |January 31. I am prescribed 90 a month.

Although your description of tramadol is correct It is classified as a schedule lV Narcotic,Under the controled dangerous substance act, according to the DEA. At one time this unique analgesic was not a federally controled drug.A written prescription is not required but MANY claim they can only be filled with a valid hard copy, NOT TRUE that's not to say it can be filled without limitations.
Zedster2k17, a written prescription is required for Tramadol. There is a limit of 5 refills per prescription.
BL,
In the spirit of disclosure and accuracy I have posted a reference regarding the national restrictions. If you possess documentation to the contrary, kindly post so others can be enlightened. Certain regional (state by state) have the option to restrict oral and refill privileges. Perhaps your state is one that chooses to do so BUT THEY ARE NOT LEGALY Prohibited from doing so. Kindly enthrall us with your acumen if your knowledge base suspect cedes federal law. For those interested in viewing my source it can be viewed at the following.

But he says tramadol gives him a speedy better high than the oxies or anything higher. He always asking for tramadol instedt of something "BETTER" unlike me..lol.
