Doxycycl Hyc 100mg Cap, do you know if you are allowed to drink alcohol while taking this medication. ## Alcohol should generally be avoided while you are taking any prescription medication. The reason is because alcohol can cause aggravation of the side effects, such as nausea, dizziness and drowsiness, which can result in one drink being equivalent to 2 or 3 and so on.
