Amount Of Ibuprophen

I had a doctor tell me that I could take 800 mgs. of Ibuprophen every 4 hours -has anyone heard of this? I thought 1200 mg. was the max you could take per day.

It should actually be every 6 hours, for a maximum of 4 times, no more than 3,200mgs daily, but please double check with your doctor.

Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation.
