Naltrexone And First Dose

My boyfriend was on subutex, the recovery center stopped him cold turkey and he went without anything in system for weeks. We finally got into recovery center again and he was put on Naltrexone 50mg. He took the meds and started acting angry and aggressive. He got a bad headache. He didn't take it yesterday or today because now he feels sick.

Those are possible side effects of this medication, according to FDA studies. He may also experience dizziness, dry mouth, and stomach pain.

How is feeling, now? Has there been any change? Is he on any other medications?

You should tell your boyfriend that if he went weeks with no subutext and he only took it for opiate addiction he shouldn't even be sick anymore, but try suboxone, that's what I've been on for years.

When I was on subutex my max dose was 16mg. I was taking mine as a substitute for methadone as subutex covers all your receptors in your brain that stop you from feeling any effects for opiates so you can't feel high. Maybe lofexadine could be a substitute. Or possibly methadone depending on what the condition is he is suffering from. Regards.

I took 50mg of Naltrexone at 12 and have no energy. It's my first dose. I'm use to suboxone whereas I would've been alright 15 min after my dose. I'm trying to prepare for visitors and am starting to have my doubts. Does anybody know when you start feeling at least normal?
