Based on my research, "each white tablet, engraved with "NOVO 50" on one side and plain on reverse side, contains Atenolol (50 mg); manufactured by Teva-Canada.

Atenolol belongs to a class of medications called beta-blockers. It is used to lower high blood pressure and to prevent the symptoms of angina (chest pain). It works by reducing the demands put on the heart.

"Nonmedicinal ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, sodium lauryl sulfate, and sodium starch glycolate. This medication does not contain gluten."
