Need Help Finding A Pharmacy To Fill Dr. Bynes Prescriptions (Page 5)
(Newest replies first)

I live in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia. Diagnosed suffering from Degenerative Disc Disease, with Cervical Radiculopathy (one bulging disc) and Lumbar Radiculopathy (two bulging discs). These spinal problems are diagnosed by three (3) recent CAT Scans, with radiologist analyses. And yes, I have ALL of the CAT Scan CDs, and radiologist reports. I went to Frank Howard Bynes, M.D., a retired trauma surgeon, and practicing internal medicine M.D., here in Savannah, Ga, for help with severe pain control. I was written valid prescriptions for: Roxicodone 30 mg; Dilaudid 8 mg; Xanax 2 mg; Fentanyl 100mcg/hr transdermal patch; Soma 350 mg; Neurontin 800 mg. ALL, YES ALL local pharmacies, will NOT honor ANY of these prescriptions. I was a previous patient of David M. Nelson, M.D. here in Savannah, March 2010 to March 2013, and had to endure this same B.S. then, also. This medical community, with the exception of Dr. Bynes, refuses to help me- Where is their Hippocratic Oath allegiance??? I cannot work, nor even function normally each day, because of the severe pain. I have been living off of the proceeds from the Workman's Compensation settlement I received in October 2012, from the accident at Georgia Port Authority in October 2009, here in Savannah. About out of money now, and have no income. I need help with pharmacy information.
Re: Tammy (# 151)
I also know him first hand and he will feed u a line of BS in a minute.
Graham35 --
Trust me I know him first hand. I have a new Dr so I really don't care one way or the other.
Re: Tammy (# 148)
So many of y'all in denial about bynes he is done he is not coming back and from my understanding from someone else who was also there that day they made all the patients leave so how do u know what happened later his license are gone and most likely will never get another license in Ga he has 2 go back to school for pain management because that was not his specialty
Tammy --
We now know for a fact that he voluntarily surrendered his medical license. You wouldn't do that if you were planning to go into pain management. Don't get me wrong, we LOVED the man, he was caring and compassionate and we are having a very difficult time finding a replacement. I wish that we had the luxury of "waiting a couple of weeks" for him to reopen his office or start a practice somewhere else but
the facts that I know for certain don't support that happening.
Re: Max (# 144)
Well I was there the day it all went down an that is not what I saw happen they did not arrest him on the spot.Did not arrest him at all.he is in the process of getting a pain management license. He was only guilty of have to many patients.
Re: Steve (# 145)
I dont understand what you mean by who is right, Max or Gram. I saw what Max wrote about why he was shut down (hear say, and he let us know it was hear say), but dont see Gram giving any explanation.
Re: Graham35 (# 103)
Can you please let me know what doc you were referred too. I have major disc issues and already had surgery that didn't help. If you could pls let me know so I can get help. Thank you so much.
Re: Max (# 144)
So who is right, Max or Graham?
My vote is on Max. It's about time that pill pusher is gone, and can't hurt anyone by getting them addicted to opiates.

The internet is so full of mistaken info that I hate to post more. I usually only say what I've been told first hand by a verifiable source, but in this case I can't confirm this because it's "third hand" and the person who told me is often wrong: That being said if somebody was there, they can verify it.
I was told by someone who "knew" someone that the DEA sent a perfectly healthy undercover agent into his office as a "new patient" Apparently this agent convinced Dr. Bynes to write them a prescription for pain killers, then the DEA arrested him on the spot. He was given the choice of surrendering his license or going to jail.
Re: CardiB (# 142)
He was way over confident and he is not in fact ex dea other wise he would not ever had been harassed he over wrote way 2 many narcotics thats for sure
Re: Graham35 (# 136)
Hey meanie Graham35 LoL I'm just kidding sweetie or sir which ever you are. But I talked with the after hours # & you ARE CORRECT! She said they are opening back up next week but with a different doctor, but then she did say she's checking with Dr's. Sounded like she had a lot going on in the background. So just be patient ppl. That lady needs her $, she is trying, and she is very nice & I hate she is going thru this mess. I truly wonder what they had on Bynes to make his over confident butt surrender!?!
Re: Max (# 140)
I'm looking for a dr. for my husband. He is a recovering cancer patient. He had stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma. He had a trial chemo called acetris. It destroyed his muscles and bone mass. If someone could help me find a dr. please let me know. {edited for privacy}. We would be so very grateful, he needs his medicine so he wont be in constant pain!! Thank you!!
Re: Tammy (# 139)
Actually someone might have seen ME "nodding off" in the office! I am not a patient of Dr Bynes but I take my wife there. I'm not on any meds, but sometimes it's a long wait and I get up early, so I have fallen asleep in the waiting room while she was back with the doctor. We are still looking for a new place to go. Thanks!
Re: Graham35 (# 123)
First off no one was coming after anyone,An no I have never seen but one person nodding in an out an they was discharge from the office.I think Dr Bynes was a great caring Dr. But if he did wrong he will get what's coming to him, I have found another Dr.an wish you all the best of luck.
Re: CardiB (# 137)
We are north of Savannah but don't mind travelling to Savannah, Garden city or whatever. Wife is 62 years old with back damage from failed surgery. She is not a candidate for further surgery. Currently uses fentanyl patch, Percocet, Soma and Zanax with good results.
Re: Max (# 135)
What area do you live in? I see if I know a good one in your area. Thanks for the real update on Bynes. It didn't make no sense that the place would reopen with a new doctor but anything is possible .
Re: Max (# 135)
I know her personally I also work in the medical field but she just told me on Wednesday she was interviewing dr.'s
Re: Max (# 133)
This morning I called the owner of the clinic on hwy 80 (the "after hours" number on the door.) She told me that #1. Dr. Bynes voluntarily surrendered his license. #2. He has no plans to return to medical practice and #3. The clinic on hwy 80 will NOT be reopening with new doctors "anytime soon"
I need to find another pain management doctor for my wife and would appreciate any leads from those of you who have found someone.
Thanks!
Re: Max (# 133)
I suspect that he was given a choice to surrender his license to avoid prosecution.
Re: Toodles (# 131)
I was actually told that it turned out that the man who died was being poisoned by his family. Coroner's report exonerated Dr. Bynes. Anyway the document posted on the GA License site is actually two pages from a case last week and three pages from 96-2001. here is no factual info as to why he would surrender his license. Perhaps a call to the board is in order?
