Mylan Clonazepam Something Is Wrong
UpdatedI was just given a different brand of clonazepam (Klonopin) and it is like taking a placebo compared with other brands, such as Teva. Anyone else notice this?
I take the 2mg tab

Hi Brian,
Sorry to hear about the medication feeling like a placebo. I for one think it has a lot to do with the different set of inactive ingredients found in each manufacturer's brand/generic. Reason I say this is because nothing else is usually changed on the Rx label when you switch between different versions.
Apparently each 2mg tablet by Mylan Pharmaceuticals uses the following binders/fillers: anhydrous lactose + colloidal silicon dioxide + magnesium stearate + microcrystalline cellulose + pregelatinized corn starch + sodium lauryl sulfate
Teva's 2mg Clonazepam reportedly contains: corn starch + lactose monohydrate + magnesium stearate + microcrystalline cellulose + povidone.
Perhaps one or more ingredients in Mylan doesn't allow the tablet to fully metabolize?
I have researched in net, and found --multiple-- posts of people stating
that Mylan's clonazepam is very weak.
professional opinion shared by thousands of docs: Mylan generic suck. They're therapeutically inequivalent. Period. End of discussion. Your doc can write ANY generic manufacturer after the name of the med.
E.g:
Ritalin 20mg #90 — SANDOZ (That not the original manufacturer — CIBA was.)
Sig: 1 po TID
That loss the transaction an no insurance policy can supersede state law.
Mylan clonazepam is ineffective. I too, was given this recently after taking Teva for the past year. I became immediately sick experiencing withdrawal symptoms as if I had taken nothing at all. After researching, I saw many links to forums where too many people have the same bad experience and complaint. This is no coincidence. Mylan brand clonazepam is bad. Mylan clonazepam does not work. Mylan needs to do something about it. I filled out an FDA form and contacted Mylan. Be sure to let FDA and Mylan know so they are without excuse.
P.S. I must have been on the phone when I wrote that last line. It should have read that UNDER MOST, IF NOT ALL, GENERIC SUBSTITUTION LAWS [YOU NEVER KNOW ABOUT SOME STATES], THE PHARMACIST MUST DISPENSE THE PRODUCT OF THE COMPANY THE DOC SPECIFIES OR DISPENSE THE BRAND AT THE THE USUAL GENERIC CO-PAY OR CASH PRICE.
SORRY IF I MADE ANY OF YOU THINK I'M MORE CRAZY THAN I AM! LOL
Great, now what do l do. If it says Clonazapam, it's gotta work, cmon, noone likes generec garbage but it has to be mind over matter.
Sarah, Do you have a prescription plan so that your Doc could write for Brand name only?, I have medicare and they won't cover much. Usually brand name always works best, just get your Doc to write For Brand name only on the script. This should help.

I have been on Mylan Fentanyl patches approx 10 yrs. This last batch also feels like placebo. Is it possible that there has been a change in the product? The only difference I see is that there is now printing on the patch. Previous ones didn't have that. I am not experiencing withdrawal symptoms but I am in disabling pain since I got the new batch. My pain level was much lower before the new batch.
I believe the white 2 mg Teva meds are stronger than the green 1 mg Teva pills
Yes that was my exact feeling as well. They just suck compared to teva. I've looked them up of course but they just dont seem to be doing anything. Does anyone else believe that the mylan 2mg klonopin are not as strong as the other generics?
Yes, I had last few rx's for clonazapam 2mgs. refilled with Mylan from Teva, and does not work as well. However, losing faith in TEVA as they bought Actavis, who bought Aurobindo, all their european manufacturing to move to India due to lower costs!
I have been taken klonopin 1mg for over a year. I recently ran out and they give me mylan lorazepam yday. I took one tablet i ended up collapsing feeling unsual and have been rushed to the emergency room a few hours ago. This medication dont seem to work for me. Im having more complications and headache.
I feel the same way. Totally not the same product!
I had the same experience with the Mylan brand Clonazepam. Also, I recently was forced to fill my Adderall prescription with the Mylan brand. It was like living a nightmare for 30 days. The clonazepam was absolute trash and the Adderall had me feel as though I would soon suffer a heart attack. It's scary that Europe is decades, if not hundreds of years ahead of America in treating mental illness the same as any other major, life changing disease. Although it is claimed all generics are equal, well, that's simply a lie. To compare
Mylan brand clonazepam and Adderall to the Teva brand makes me think of the 1 truth that is more prevalent now than ever before. That is, he who has the money makes the rules. As a result, many are forced to suffer because billion dollar drug makers would rather cut corners in the name of profit. Here's hoping those people live to be 100 years old, each day ridden with guilt for the needless suffering their greed caused.
Re: David (# 1)
It's not the fillers! My doctor told me that generic makers are allowed a 25% variance in strength.
Get another script from your doctor after you call and tell them you want to bring in the bad batch and get a new Rx. They should do it. Then find another pharmacy with a different maker. I like the blue ones whoever makes those.
Has anyone else had a problem with a recent batch of Teva 832 .5 mg clonazepam? I got the prescription filled late November and it seems to have no effect when I take it.
Hello again!
Well it happened again. I was doing well on the Teva Klonopin and now I’m getting ?Biconvex which is useless.
Does anyone have a suggestion about the best one?

Accord healthcare worked best for me, but I can't find it at the moment.
In response to the messages about Mylan clonazepam, I am having a terrible time finding a generic than is mild enough for me (at the same dose). I seriously think Mylan was very weak because it had virtually no side effects and now everything I try is too strong! If I knew what amount to take in other brands, maybe I could. My doctor is at a loss and has suggested I just switch to Lorazepam. I was trying to wean down to half of 3 mg while on Mylan and then BOOM, it was discontinued! Now everything I try either makes me itch (blues) or knocks me on my butt. Then I tried the new white Actavis and I could not stop itching! One drug store got me some Mylan from their warehouse that was in blister packs and it makes me itch! Supposed to be the same thing. Then I read about something called tolerance! It's all very confusing! I'm considering Name brand Klonopin and now I am concerned that I won't be able to tolerate it either. I am currently on Northstar and having headaches and brain fog! All this began about the time I tried Solco and had a terrible reaction like withdrawal syndrome. Has anything like this happened to anyone else? I don't want to reduce too quickly because of risk of seizures! Thoughts, anyone???
