My Experience Of Side Effects On Wysolone

My younger brother aged 35 years had a problem of double vision in left eye due to nerve damage and as per doctor advise, he used wysolone tablets 120mg per day along with other medicines for 45 days. The doctor did not told us the side effect of wysolone and precautions which we have to take while using wysolone. We don't know that wysolone is a steroid. Due to this drug, my brother got side effects such as round face, double chin, rashes on all over body and heavy hungry. His eye problem is reduced in these 45 days. after 45 days, the doctor reduced wysolone drug by 80mg, 60mg,40mg like that per day. After 3days, he got problems of loose motions and vomtings and he became very weak. I took him to hospital. Doctors told that he is suffering with lack of immunity power due to steroid intake. After that he developed multi organ failure such as ARDS (Accute Respiratory Dissiminate Syndrom) or accute lung injury, brain failure, liver damage, kidnies damage, shortage of blood cells (plasma) etc. All this problems he got due to immuno suppression secondary to steroid intake. He treated on mechanical ventilator for 12 days. It is a costly treatment for us and we expend 8 lacs for his treatment by borrow money from friends, relatives and bank. After putting all efferts, he died and leave us in sadness. If the doctor tell us about the side effect of wysolone, my brother will live with us and my parents don't get depression at this age. I request all of you that please take care while using of wysolone. This drug will eat immunity power and will cause so many problems.

I am also taking wyslone 10mg per day. Because of using wyslone I also got rashes on my body.. I am very much afraid of this. Please can anyone tell how this rashes can be gone? I can't live like this through my whole life. Please anyone suggest

Surendra, I am very sorry for the loss you and your family have suffered.

Wysolone does contain Prednisolone, which is a steroid class medication and it can cause the severe issues that your brother experienced, in some people.

And all medications, including it, should never be used, unless someone is fully informed of the possible risks.

Anie, have you contacted your doctor about the problem? You may need to try a different medication.

Dear Surender, I am really sorry to hear about your brother. Going through the symptons I wonder if your brother had a disease which has to do with immune system where it attacks your organs like kidney, heart, brain etc? A heriditary disease? where did you get his treatment? was it a Neuro surgeon? Were you told the name of the disease? My sister takes Wysolone and has to take for lifetime. Please pray for her

Dear Kev, my brother was a very healthy person up to the usage of wysolone. After using wysolone only he got immuno suppression. He don,t have any hereditary problems. Doctors also confirmed it. Not only the hospital doctors in which he got treatment but other government hospital doctors also confirmed it. I suggest that anybody who is using this medicine will move to other alternative medicine which is not a steroid. Now I am fighting this case in court.

Anie, i suggest you that please consult your doctor and try a different medicine which is not a steroid and alternate to wysolone.

Dont worry guys, Even i was on wysolone for more than year started with 60mg/day. now have stopped it. face completely turned into normal. no more rashes. :)

I am 35 year man I have kidney treasplant about 40 days been i have taken wysolone one month for 20 mg per days only after one month I have taken 17.5 mg and what will be side effect.

One year back I have been diagnosed for Ocular myasthania.. & was advised wysolone -20 mg x 3 daily, Gravitor 60mg x 3 daily... After taking this four months OM Came to control.. When my Dr. Replaced the medicine to ozotherapine within two weeks, I got jaundice & I was hospitalized for a week... During that period my bilirubin content went up to 37.... SGPT & SGOT also shooted up to 700+ ..... During that time wysolone & Gravitor was stopped... After two months of jaundice I had double vision problem... for which I underwent plasmapheresis process..which costed all most two lakhs.. Now my double vision problem is solved..but again my dr.suggested to continue wysolone20 x2, & gravitor60 x 3 daily...& mucophenalyte-500mg x 2 daily... I also have double chin. Face is enlarged, rashes all over the body..frequent urination... Frequent stools...although double vision problem is solved.I am experiencing some problems with my left eye...when showed to eye specialist they told that LEye is in the initial stage of cataract...still my dr..advice me to continue the wysolone & Gravitor for few more months... I am really worried.. Is there any alternate medicine so that there shouldn't side effects.... Is there any treatment for my problem in homeopathy or Ayurvedic .....pl suggest

From last year back I have been diagnosed for weezing & was advised wysolone -10 mg daily, that time my weight is 55 kg After taking this six months , weezing Came to control but i took 1 year . During that time wysolone I had double vision problem... also have double chin. Face is enlarged, rashes all over the body.. my weight also increased 10 kg now 66 kg . i check with several doctor without knowing this effect , i took all the medical test sugar , cholestrol , renal , culture , thyroid and the result is normal but why my body and face is enlarged and over weight . Atlast i found out because of wysole i had . then doctor advise dont stop atonce reduce the mg and stop it ............... pls advise what i have to ?

Drink coconut water every day eat oranges banana dates n fruits reach in potassium.Also food rich in calcium like milk cheese ice cream etc...take ur dose with milk food or an antacid

Hi, im mridul. My doc says I have ibs / crohns disease and gave me wysolone as a primary medicine. After taking it 2 days my symptoms went more harassing, also I developed severe pain in my belly area, vomiting acidity were a common problem. I called my doctor and asked what to do and he told to stop all medicines and so I did and after 14 hrs or so I was relieved and since then it is almost a month and im almost alright, with my symptoms lower than ever, I think I will try my best to not take this drug. They say I will have to take that s*** drug for my whole life, f*** them.

My mother is a rheumatoid arthritis patient,doctor prescribed her wysolone 10mg, and asked her to stop,after few weeks,but she continued taking it because, if she stop taking wysolone, she used to develop severe fever and joints used to swell. Now she got osteoporosis :-(
At present she completely stopped wysolone, and now we are facing more problems, she is not able to eat anything,vomitings...dont know which doctor to consult. We stay in Hyderabad-India

Hi....My mother takes wysolne 80mg tablets daily after food. Her Dr. suggested this tablet for (ITP diseases) platelets which have went from 5000, 6000, to 7000 in months.... wysolone tablets were taken for a period of 4 months... What happened when my mother took these tablets? Did she get cured of this disease?

Can wyslone 10mg be taken for mouth ulcers? My husband takes it whenever he has a siever attack of mouth ulcers. Is it adviseable?

I am a 18 year old girl and my colonscopy report says I have Pancolitis (IUC). My doctor prescribed me Wysolone(10) along with an antibiotic glevo(500) and mesacol(800) and Razo(20), colospa-x and VSL#3. After just one day, I started having this abdominal pain, chest pain, muscle cramps, gas and I was taken to a general physician immediately. There I got to know that Wysolone is a steroid and had such and such side effects But I can't cut off this medicine because they told me it is the main medicine for treatment of Pancolitis. To counteract this medicine's side effects, my general physician advised me some medicines. My ultrasonography reports say I have an enlarged liver, both ovaries are enlarged and Shows multiple peripherally arranged cysts of size <10mm and slightly increased stromal echogenecity and few subcentimetric mesenteric lymphnodes are seen predominantly in RIF region. What should I do?

Hi. I am 35/M and was diagnosed with Nephrotic syndrome 2-3 months back. Underwent a kidney biopsy to find about FSGS. My nephrologist has started with wysolon 70mg (1mg / 1kg body weight) and it's been around a month with this dosage. I have started to get a few of the symptoms mentioned in this thread :-(

Can you please guide me to the details of Homeopathic treatment that helped in your case? I want to start that in parallel as well... Where is this homeopathic doctor available?

Are you normal now.. i was taking wysolone and Azoran (immune Suppressive) from last 5 years for Uveitis problem in my eyes.. but now i have stopped wysolone & azoran and took ayurvedic treatment.. now my eyes are fine but there are some health issues i am facing bcoz of side effects of wysolone and azoran i guess...

Hi. My doctor also diagnosed me with Crohn's.. they started Wysolone 30 mg daily + Pentasa 1000 mg 3 times a day. I started 1 month back.. now I am having headache. Growth in heart rate etc. But I continued my alternate ayurvedic medicine also.. for High acidity and ulcer.

Guys Crohn's is curable and in India we have lots of medicine on it in Ayurveda. Crohn's named person searched this disease so he gave his name. In Western countries there was no disease prior like this so it's got registered in all minds. But our Ayurveda is 5000 years old. Our Ayurveda is older than him. Ayurveda says it happens because of high acidity, acidity converts into ulcer and ulcer cause for irritated bowel and swelling of inner layer of intestines and it got thickened. After when some bacteria affects that area it causes for problem like loose motion. Heavy Ness after eating. Less consumption of water. Weight loss. Etc. I have did lots of home research etc. Now I feel I got the answer. I am going to continue my Ayurveda.. and stopping my allopathic medicine. It's steroids so I have stop with consultant. I will do it in next appointment.

Guys main thing is we have to dignosed properly. When allopathic doctor did not get answer they starts Steroids. Go for root cause. They attack on that with Ayurveda it's safe and long term curable. Except TB and Cancer disease. Not curable in Ayurveda.
