Multag Warning

I have a fib and my doctor has put me on Multag and I read warnings and it says " What is the most important ifno that I should have before taking multag is" Multag is not for people with severe heart failure. People who have severe heart failure who may take multag have an increased chance of dying." It further states that heart failure means your heart is not pumping blood through your body as it should. I guess my concern is what is severe heart failure? My last report was that my heart was at 30-35 and that 50 would be good.

Well I finally received an answer on the question as to what is severe heart faliure from a Doctor and that is when the heart refraction is less than 30-35. I am really surprised that no one elso has commented on the warning of possible death from taking Multaq!!!!.

Actually, there is that prominent warning and there are quite a few posts on here, as well as other discussions about it online.

And that danger is only prominent in people that have heart failure, which doesn't mean that Multaq will cause heart failure in others that do not have it.

Heart failure is quite different from Atrial Fibrillation, heart attack or cardiac arrest.

My cardiologist prescribed me Miltag June 2010 and I immediately developed a severe case of diahrrea and being a transplant patient (renal) it almost caused me to totally reject my organ. Was given multiple steroid treatments to save organ.

My heart doctor just called me @ told me to get off Multag asap. I have been on it for 16 mo's and I still got A Fib. I hope he can find a new med because I can't live this way. I can't walk from one spot to another out of breath.
