I had a very bad fall on Thurs. The emergency gave me1 shot of morphine .I cannot sleep.Having wierd thoughts at night, cannot sleep. Is this still due to the meds. ## No, any side effects from a shot given that many days ago wouldn't be lingering this long. However, it could very well be a slight form of post traumatic stress. It can happen, even with small events like this and most people never recognize it for what it is, because it doesn't last longer than a week or two. It really only gets noticed when it severely affects someone's quality of life and ability to function, which is usually when it's very severe and lasts for years. You may want to give it a little more time and see if it eases off and if it doesn't, then you should seek medical. attention. Anothe...

taking morphine 15 mg S A. Have been on hydrocodone 10/325APAP, and oxycodone 10/325APAP. Don't seem to be getting any relief from the morphine. Is this just a transitition, or could there be an issue here ? ## Have you consulted your doctor? It could really be either that the dose of the Morphine isn't high enough to handle your pain, or some withdrawal/rebound effects from switching medications and there is also a possibility that it's a combination of both. ## I feel that I am not getting the relief I used to get from my medication. For the past 5 years I have been taking 6 norcos 10/325 and beginning 2 years ago I began to take 2 Oycontin 40 mg per day. My doctor is very difficult to talk to about increasing my dosage. What can I do? ## I SEE THIS IS AN OLD POST, BUT IT ...

My Dr prescribed opana er 10 mg for pain. I was prescribed morphine sulfate er 60 mg and at one time was prescribed as much as 130 mg before i had surgery(gastric bypass which took a lot of pressure off of my back) and allowed me to lower my dosage. But since I've changed to Opana Er its just not enough for the pain. I don't sleep and if I do doze of I wake up from the pain. I'm desperate for help and think I need to be put back on morphine sulfate. My Gastric Dr instructed me to chew, crush or break my medications but with extended release you can't do that. Many pain management is almost greeting ready to send me to another state where they can treat me more efficiently. I can't afford to be going back and fourth to another state. I want to get my gastric Dr to app...

Need dr not afraid of DEA (where whole practice just stops prescibing because of them!) ## I am very sorry that you are having such problems, no one deserves to be miserable. I have a liquid morphine that i was given by my doctor, the only thing is i am concerned in taking it because the color of it is blue. The last i got was a clear color. Can you help me understand what i was given? ## Hi Patty, The color of a medication doesn't usually have anything to do with its formulation. This one could possibly be from a different manufacturer, or flavored. As long as it contains the same amount of ingredients as the last one you had, you should be just fine. If it really concerns you, you can always ask your doctor or a pharmacist. I hope this helps!

I found a pill with a N on one side and nothing on the other. Someone told me this was morphine. ???? ## The closest match I'm finding to your description happens to be Morphine (30mg), however, this pill appears redish in color with the number "30" imprinted on the other side: imageshack.us/photo/my-images/831/img0051t.jpg It could just be the camera lighting of the photo, but others have regarded this pill as being dark purple in color (perhaps quite similar to blue). In any case, please post back if this seems like a possible match. I hope this helps!

I have shingles.. The pain is unbelivable. am taking 20 mg oxycontin 2 every 12 hrs. I am also, without my doctor knowing , taking 3 hydrocodon-acetaminophen 5-300 in between .. can this hurt me? ## Have you told your doctor that the Oxycontin isn't handling your pain? It isn't unusual for someone take both a long-acting narcotic, such as the Oxycontin, with something that works faster, such as an instant release or a regular release medication, like the Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen. However, there are always risks associated with it. The narcotics can cause depression of the central nervous system, such as lowered heart rate and lowered breathing rate. And with long-term use, the Acetaminophen could cause some liver damage. ## finally got correct diagnosis, after suffering for...

My doctor changed my 60mg orange oblong morphine to the 60mg round orange ones. I inject my medication and need to know why the round pill is oily after its broke down to liquid form. Since using these new pills I am having trouble pooping what the hell the government done to my morphine? ## The government didn't do anything. Tablets such as this are not intended to be broken down and injected and trying to do so is dangerous. Tablets contain fillers, especially the time released ones and not all of them are meant to be broken down by the human body. They are normally just expelled in your waste. If you try to break them down for injection, you are placing these substances directly into your body in a way that it cannot process them out. This creates the risk of your developing bloc...

I will try to make this as short as possible. I have been suffering with Chronic Pain to my right shoulder since 2005. I fell on black ice, dislocated the shoulder, broke the humerus head and cracked the bone in the socket. 3 surgeries later I'm still suffering with the pain. Since the injury I've been on Lortab 10/500. Started out with 4 per day, I'm at 7 per day and cannot go higher due to the Tylenol. My pain management doctor's PA switched me to 5 Lortab per day with 2-15mg Morphine Sulfate ER. I took the Morphine at 6:10pm, by 7pm, I broke out in a rash, have a migraine, can't stop sweating, my throat and ears itch, I've become short tempered. My surgeon wanted my pm doctor to switch me to Percocet and cut out the Lortab all together. I am 40, single mom, fu...

NEED TO FIND WHERE TO GET PAREGORIC IN BRAZIL ## Any drugstore for only R$15,00 and no RX needed it's an OTC medication here in brasil! Each botlee have 30 ml's wich is equivalent to 15 mg of morphine! ## How can I buy Paregoric from Brazil? ## The actual specifics here are that if you are in Brazil, it is legal to purchase, but if you live in the U.S. it is not legal to order it for import. Paregoric was banned here, because it actually contains a tincture of opium, which was highly addictive and never actually tested for safety. In many cases, it was used for its analgesic effects. im a 180 pound 21 year old male and a first time user of the abg 60 and im wondering if its too much for first time. ive had the sulfates but that was years ago. I use norco 10mg about once every couple weeks for pain. I usally take 3 norco 10mg at first sign of pain lol so I am versed a lil in the opiates. ## The usual adult dosage schedule for extended release tablets such as ABG 60 (Morphine sulphate extended-release 60 mg - NDC 0591-3513) ranges from 10 mg to 600 mg daily, given in equally divided doses every 8 to 12 hours or given as one dose every 24 hours. Since the dosage gap for extended release tablets is so large, I think it's safe to say that 60mgs still sits on the lower end of the dosage spectrum. I'd probably recommend doing a trial run for a week or so just to se...
