Is that alot? ## yea thats alot . i was taking 3 had been for yrs changed me to pain management and he starting cutting all my meds in half. think they are doing me some kind of favor. yea right . wish he had a good dose of my problems and pain. I've been in pain longer than this ass has been alive. ## I was on 130mg's of the morphine sulfate every 12 hours. When I accidentally took two and called the poison control line they told me that 200mg's was the highest they prescribe anyone and that's on their death bed. Now they have medication that is stronger but they can only safely prescribe so much morphine without destroying or damaging your organs. But I'm pretty sure that the highest they go on the extended release morphine is 200mg ...

for chronic pain ## Morphine sulfate (30 mg) is used to relieve severe or agonizing pain and suffering. You can view a more detailed description of Morphine, by clicking on the link below... If you have any more questions or comments to add, please post back so I can further assist you. ## My Doctor has had me taking 60 mg ER morphine pills 3 times a day (=180mg daily) for severe lower back pain relief. It works very well, although I, at times, have pain that still, occurs, this cannot be helped. Now my Doctor stated that my dosage needs to be lowered to a new "safety standard dose" of no more than 100 mg per day. Now what? I appreciate his concern and understand he needs to report to "the powers that be" for each pill he dispenses. What about my pain? I am left with no ...

Here is the deal. I have a herniated disc and degenerative disc disease. I have had physical therapy, chiropractor and epidural steroid injections. I am a Kaiser patient. I am taking Morphine ER 15 mg 4 times a day with percocet 5 mg 3 times a day for breakthrough. I ran out of meds early last month because i went camping and lost the bottle that had a weeks worth of meds inside. I don't take the entire bottle with me when I travel, just what I need while I'm gone. I did not tell my doctor that I lost the meds. My doctor gave me a script that was dated for 6/25 (tomorrow). Last week I was out of town for our annual week long vacation. While I was there (in the same state, but 3 hours from home) I went to an urgent care with my empty script bottles and the urgent care doctor gave...

need a pain clinic in tn alabama ,doctor just closed was on 100 mg morphine 90 a month 180 roxicodone a month need doctor immediately close to tn Al border if anybody has a cash pay or insurance doctor 4000 patient going crazy please help ## Hello, Unfortunately, no one can really know ahead of time what a doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's discretion and not on someone else's previous appointment (especially since many doctor's are now worried about losing their licensing for prescribing too many narcotics). Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for any 'specific medication' when you see a new doctor. Just make sure to transfer or take a copy of all your medical records with you. Then, the best approach in my o...

On 30 mg 2 x daily for 45 days. Took last 30 at 7pm yesterday. Is one orange AN415 for 4 days going to help me withdraw and stop opiates all together. I dont want this addiction anymore? ## Hello, Ginger! How are you doing? You can't take Suboxone, until you are in full withdrawal. Otherwise, it can throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals that could include grand mal seizures. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. And it is doubtful that just 4 days of it is going to be enough to completely beat this. Have you consulted your doctor? Unless you've been abusing the Morphine, you should be able to just taper off of it after ...

I am on 40mg of Opana and 15 mg ir morphine for 3 ruptured discs. . When I take the morphine it makes me tired. Is there an IR that will not make me groggy? ## Hello, Steven! How are you? Drowsiness is a possible side effect of all narcotics, it's really just a matter of trial an error to find one that works for you, without making you sleepy. Morphine did the same thing to me, when I was on it, I could barely ever stay awake. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you tried Oxycodone? It may work better for you.

MY SISTER WAS BEING GIVEN ABOUT 6-7 OF THE STRONGEST MORPHINE PILLS AT A TIME IN A CAPSULE AS A SUPPOSITORY ABOUT EVERY 30 MINUTES-A FEW HRS BY THIS GIRL THAT CLAIMED TO B HER FRIEND BUT THEN I FOUND OUT THAT THE GIRL HELD A GRUDGE AGAINST HER AFTER MY SISTER WAS ALREADY GONE. ## Continued; MY QUESTION IS THIS, HOW MUCH OF THE STRONGEST MORPHINE WOULD IT TAKE FOR A WOMAN AGE 54 WIEGHING APPROXIMATELY 70-80 LBS & APROXIMATELY ABOUT HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE FOR HER TO OD & WGAT WOULD THE SYMPTOMS B? ## Hi Dee Dee - my gosh, that's so sad about your sister, I'm sorry to hear that! Geez. Well, first and foremost, would it be possible for you guys to get a toxicology report / autopsy for your sister to determine the exact cause of death? It would be worth filing a police report...

I just took a court ordered UA to test for illicit drugs. I take 30mg of Morphine twice daily. My test came back positive for the Morphine which is fine. I have a script but also positive for Methadone! I don't take Methadone! Could the Morphine have caused this? ## So how did it go? When ANYONE tests with those Instant Urine Tests, the type where they place a strip/stick into the urine and it changes colors - are ONLY Used As an Indication. It even says on those boxes that any and all Positives are not at all conclusive and should Then be Sent Out To a Lab for analysis. Yes as I'm sure you already know Opiates are Opiates and will turn the strip POS. But if they THEN SEND it out to a Lab they will know the difference as they test NOT for cocaine but for the chemical cocaine tur...

I am seeing my sister and my niece both go through withdrawals from hydrocodone and am terrified. I want to taper off all my meds I am on morphine 15 mg and fentanyl patches 25mg is that going to cause me horrible withdrawal? ## Severe withdrawals usually only occur if you stop taking such medications abruptly, if you taper off of them, then it can really help to minimize them a lot. Learn more Morphine details here. Learn more Fentanyl details here. Have you talked to your doctor about it? They should be able to help you set up a taper schedule that can minimize the withdrawal effects, though you'll likely still experience some. How long have you been on them? ## the way i psychologically approach kik'n dope (morphine, heroin, oc etc.) is that i tell myself its just the flu or ...

Has anyone ever seen a round 100 mg morphine pill that is green cause I have only ever seen the 200 mg ones come in the color green so if there is a 100 mg green morphine that is round what are the imprints that are on it ## Hello, Fefe! How are you? I just went through 5 pages of Morphine tablet imprints and images, none of the 100mg ones are green. They are all gray and the 200mg ones are green, even among the generics. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any markings on the tablet you're questioning? If there are and you can post back with them, I'll gladly check for you to see what the tablet contai...

I have been looking for an up to date forum to ask questioms, and hope this is it. I am prescribed 30mg extended release morphine, 4 times a day, and 15 mg, IR morphhine for break through pain, 4 times a day. I have been taking it for aprox 10 years. I have had disc fusing surgery, and have 2 more herniations that need surgical help. Arthritis, scar tissue and many other issues. The meds don't ever take the pain away completely, but allow me to live and work and get up in the morning without wanting to die. I work 13 hour days, at a somewhat physical job for me,, and I went into my purse to get a pill at the proper time, (not an abuser), and my script looked almost empty. I had just filled it. I took my script and went to the restroom and looked closely and yes, it was almost gone. ...

Is it a blood clot, or an assist, its painful, hot and red, its hard... what is this and what do I do?? ## Hello Easy E! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. Please see your doctor. Tablets contain fillers and not all of them are meant to be broken down by the human body, they are normally just expelled in your fecal waste. You may have created a blockage that requires medical attention. If you don't have it taken care of soon, there is a chance that it could move elsewhere in your body and cause a heart attack or stroke. It could also cut off blood flow and cause the tissue in that area to become necrotic. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as n...

I have been taking 60 mg of morphine a day for about two weeks now. I want to stop completely but l cannot afford to go through withdrawals being that l have two jobs. Can you please tell me how to wean myself off? I really do not want to take them anymore l know l will just become more addicted to them. Can l cut my doseage down over a period of time until l stop completely? Please help! ## Hello, Natalie! How are you? Yes, a slow taper is usually best to minimize withdrawal symptoms, but you should follow your doctor's instructions for the best results. The FDA lists the typical withdrawal symptoms as possibly including nausea, fever, chills, rebound pain, drowsiness and diarrhea. However, if you're taking the time released tablets, you can't actually cut them, because tha...

It shows up as oxycodone. They have to be specifically testing for Oxy though, which often times, a standard 5/6 panel test like the ones "typically" used in pre-employment, are not (testing for Oxy, that is)

I took a 15mg Morphine tab today and I may have a drug screen tomorrow. They check for opiates, Methadone, and Oxycodone. Will this just show up as a Opiate since they dont check just for Morphine. If I was to be drugged screened it would have been in my system for 28 hours. I took it today Sunday at 12 noon and wont be tested till Monday at 4:30pm ## I have a script for Percocet for pain. I took 2 15 mg roxicodone about 45 min before I had to take a surprise drug test. I was able to empty my bladder completely before my test. So when I took my test my urine was a small amount and It looked almost like water. Will the roxicodone even show up on my test? They sent my results to a lab. They gave my mom 4mg of morphine in her iv. How long do the effects last, ## Hi jen, According to nhtsa.gov, morphine is said to have a short half-life of 1.5 to 7 hours. They go on to note that close to ninety percent of a single morphine dose is excreted through urine within 72 hours. However, on the contrary, a different report coming from nih.gov states that morphine has a "plasma" (blood) half-life of 2.5 to 3.0 hours. So when it comes to IV administration, this is probably the half-life I'd refer to for a more accurate estimate. Though this is mostly speculative, it's been thought that after 3 half-life's, a medication like this is typically out of your body / no longer working to relieve pain. There are also other important factors that can determine how long ...

How many 30 mg slow release morphine tabs can you take in a 24 hr ## Hello, Temperance! How are you? They should be taken as your doctor prescribed, exceeding that could result in a dangerous overdose, that has the potential to be fatal. Normally, the time released Morphine like this is dosed every 12 hours. But, there are also some that are dosed once every 24 hours. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
