UpdatedAfter a brain & spine surgery a 1.5yr. ago (forever living w/ Chiari Malformation & related conditions, permanent damage, more surgery) I've been on 30mg. Morphine ER & Tramadol for breakthrough....but... (30mg. Morphine ER 2x's per day, a 15mg. Morphine midday and 2-4 Tramadol for breakthrough when needed...try to keep that very limited) my condition comes w/ headaches. Common. But they have been a bit more than expected-even w/ my sumatriptan, etc. Daily, a nagging heavy headache - not always a migraine / the Chiari h/a I know so well. However, it dawned on me that when in ICU, in a hospital stay recently for kidney stones (after last surgery especially, brain & spine) the nurses & Dr's realized that when they gave me the morphine (IV, not oral obviousl...
I have been being treated for chronic pain off and on for years. Recently i've been on the fentanyl 75 mcg every 3 days and the morphine 15 mg at 4 x daily. Well recently i was having extreme pain from my lower back buttocks and down my legs to the point i couldn't walk so my reg physician thought it was trauma from my sciatic nerve so she referred me to a doctor that is a neurologist named Dr Sawhney in Crain Towers, well before i even had a chance to go to her i had to go to the ER which they agreed with the sciatic nerve. I could not even walk into her office and she didn't even take the time to look at my diagnoses or my list of the different things i suffer from. All she did was see that i was on the pain meds and told me i was a drug addict and that all i needed was de...
Is Roxie 10 stronger than morphine 60just wondering what's best to take I find morphine last longer than Roxie ## Oxycodone is one a half times stronger than Morphine, so, going by the doses you've mentioned, the 60mg Morphine is stronger. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation, it also carries the risk of being habit forming. Is there anything else I can help with?
small round pill peach in color with pms imprinted on one side and a straight line through the middle on the other side ## Several pills with this marking have come up recently and from what I can find on some of the others, they appear to be from a foreign company. That means, the imprints are not logged with the U.S. FDA. Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere? This one may be really difficult to narrow down, since most of those that I am finding listed also have numbers on them. ## I have the same pill but light green (im in canada) and ive been told its a 5 mg oxy but seen else where that it may be a 50mg morphine quick release ## The pill you have is a quick release 50 mg Morphine im currently perscribed them ## i found a pill it is light peach and round with 50 on one side and on o...
What do the 60 mg instant release tabs look like? I am prescribed six 30 mgs instant release tabs, two 30 mgs three times a day. I am out of my medicine. And my insurance changed so they're requiring a prior authorization and I've been a day so far without it and I'm in pain. So my neighbor told me that they would let me borrow a couple of theirs until I can get my insurance figured out but they get the 60mg instant release and I don't want to take something without knowing what it is first. Also is MS Contin the same thing as morphine? Someone please help asap. ## Hi Concerned - To answer your questions, the 60 mg Morphine IR pills can vary by manufacturer. Can you post back and describe what you got from your neighbor? Such as color and markings on them? Also, MS Conti...
Are morphine patches as effective on chronic pain issues like fentynal? I've been on Kadian twice a day and I m concerned it won't work for me. ## Hello, Nicole! How are you? Did the Kadian work well for you? Morphine is the active ingredient in it. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
oblong pill,orange,60 stamped one side,4 numbers opposite side, not scored, time release i think, long lasting effects ## I can't confirm what it is, without knowing the full imprint, including those numbers on the opposite side. Can you please post those? Morphine is a very potent narcotic pain reliever. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Effects from long term use can include: tolerance, addiction and organ damage. You can read more on it here: ## I got these new imprint on my pills which are supposed to be 60 mg morphine er they are still orange bit it says RD72 on one side nothing on th other the RD is on top of the 72. Is this what it is supposed to be? please help! ## Hi. I saw in March someone was confused because they were supposed ...
How strong is the 30mg morphine tablets? ## What do you mean how strong is a 30mg Morphine tablet? That is equivalent to a 10mgs Oxycodone. ## Thought the was what does it LOOK like? MST Continus, the most common brand of morphine sulphate tablet, m/r, are purple with '30' on one side and 'NAPP' on the other. They are biconvex and unscored. There are many other types of morphine but most are capsules. I have heard that in the USA there is a white 30mg morphine i/r tablet but don't know the markings, never having seen one. I have also seen a grey tablet which was claimed to be morphine sulphate m/r. ## Usually, Morphine 30mg is either Maroon or Green. The Brand Name Is Made By Purdue Fredrick Pharmaceuticals, which is Maroon and Side 1 says PF and Side 2 says 30. Here...
I have been taking 4 10/325 Percocet daily plus 100mcq Fentanyl patch every 48 hrs.My Doc changed me to 15mg morphine IR every 6hrs as needed,I can not feel hardly any difference in pain relief should I? ## Hello, Tom! How are you? The Oxycodone in Percocet is one and a half time stronger than Morphine, and the Fentanyl is over 81 times stronger than Morphine, which likely gives you a bit of a comparison. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Are you still on the Fentanyl Patch? If so, you're basically on equivalent doses, not anything stronger. ## Which medication is stronger 15 milligrams of Oxy Cotton are 30 mg of morphine . Billy
I am trying to get off opiates myself but safely, I have been fighting this demon for years and I don't want it anymore. I have 26 of the 30mg morphine sulphate pills to help with the withdrawal discomfort, so how do I taper and do this process safely??? ## Be careful should consult with Dr to help u get off , if not start cutting it 5mg per day until u get down to 5mg and cut that in half for a few days u may want to get some Ben gay to rub on legs etc drink plenty of fluids try light activity Good Luck ## @Gracie, Sorry to hear about your situation. I do agree that it would probably be a good idea to work closely with your prescribing doctor on a tapering schedule that seems feasible. Although post #1's tapering advice seems sound, my understanding is that only the prescribing...
A 50mg morphine patch has been prescribed by an oncologist and is too strong for my uncle who has terminal stomach cancer. Is it o.k. to cut the patch in half? He is not in pain but is like a zombie. ## Hello, Christine! How is your uncle? No, that could result in his getting too much of the medication at once, which risks an overdose. How long has he been using them? The zombie like effect should improve, as his body gets used to the medication. But if it continues longer than a few weeks, then he should consult his doctor. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## You can fold part of the patch under just don't breach the seal this is how the weekend yo...

UpdatedHelp me find something stronger than oxycodone 30 imm release and works longer I'm going too doctors in the morning and I need everyone's help please ## Hello, Caityln! How are you? There is no 30mg immediate release Oxycodone, so if you weren't taking Oxycontin, then I assume you were on the regular release formulation that starts working 15 to 20 minutes after you take it. That said, there are stronger doses of Oxycodone available that could try, if your doctor approves. If you prefer Morphine, you'd need 45mgs of it to be equivalent to each 30mgs of the Oxycodone that you were taking, so more if you need to increase the dosage. The FDA classifies these medications as being narcotic analgesics, so they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, s...

Can this be morphine 15 mg? ## Yes, this does contain 15mgs of Morphine CR, a generic for MS Contin, this is a potent narcotic pain reliever. I have tried morphine, starting with a red pill 30mg. with an oval form; identified as MS contin 30 IR. I had also some ABG 100mg. grey pill, very small ones which are supposed to be ER; I practically didn't have any effect from the first one and after a few hours I have decided to take a third (more or less) of the other pill, really small ABG but I managed to cut it quite right, probable was 40 mg instead of the initial 30 mg ones.... I know you are not supposed to cut these because the ER properties but I was in real pain and I didn't want to risk OD for sure. I figured that should be it, more or less... after 15 minutes I was completely pain free but not drowsy at all; just euphoric and full of energy and pain free... it almost scared me for a minute but I am definitely not ...
UpdatedThe oxymorphone bill does not have morphine in it what is a narcotic besides oxycodone I know the oxycodone is in it what is the other narcotic and it is there another one ## Hello, Foxy! How are you? No, there is no Oxycodone in this, either. Oxymorphone is the active ingredient, it is a narcotic on its own. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## What pain medication can I take if I am allergic to Morphine and Dilaudid? Tried Hydroco/Ace but did not relieve any of my back pain.
