Is it time to contact my doctor? ## Yes, it definitely is, anytime you experience a headache that is worse than one you've ever had, before, or causes you to experience new symptoms, you should have it checked out. The NIH lists other symptoms as possibly including visual auras. Are you on any other medications? Have you ever experienced migraines in the past?
I have taken all sumatriptans ever made probably with Dr. reddys being used currently. I have taken imitrex since it was invented and still am in awe of its effectiveness. Yesterday I opened a box of two prefilled auto injectors with the usual results. So today I took the second and shot and within ten minutes began itching with welts and swelling. One hand was blueish with nausea/vomiting and abdominal cramping. There was absolutely nothing different than 100 other times. It was bad enough I will be concerned to take it. Has this happened to anyone else? ## I am very sorry about what you've experienced. However, our bodies do change with time, so such an experience is entirely plausible, according to NIH reports, though only a medical professional can give you a definitive answer a...
I have taken Fiorinal for headaches since i was very young and now for back pain and spasms. They've always been manufactured by Sandoz and have always worked. The generics I've tried have not. I take them only when i absolutely have to, so I don't get refills very often at all. I got a new prescription for it last week and asked my husband to pick it up while he was in town - reminding him that since it was 'dispense as written' and not a generic it would be more than our usual prescription co-pay. Imagine my surprise when he came in and handed me the bag with a receipt for $266 for 56 tablets stapled to it....I was about to send Sandoz an email about their pricing when, to my surprise I discovered they are no longer manufactured by them. I wonder if that's the cau

I never took bupap before but my drug test showed bupap in my system. What other drugs might show up as bupap? Would trazodone show up as something similar? ## I was told that my trazadone shows up as similar or the same as suboxone so I was wondering if this is true or not, I went and paid for an independent drug screen and it showed negative for any drugs two days later, does this mean it was a faulty test or perhaps that someone tampered with the original drug test? ## I had a drug test yesterday and they said I was positive for THC, meth, and suboxone The meds I take are....trazadone, clonidine, atterall, baclofen, Paxil, and levothyroxin I have never taken suboxone in my life, I looked up that ibuprofen can cause a false positive for THC and my atterall comes up as meth....I can...
I have been suggested flexura d for migraine. Is this just a pain killer or a cure for migraine? ## This is an analgesic to alleviate the pain. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. There is no real cure for migraines, the only way to deal with them is either by treating them, or by eradicating the underlying cause. What types of tests have you had done? Are you on any other medications?
I have a 13 yr old granddaughter who is getting migraines. She does have a low magnesium level. Her Physician has wrote a prescription for tramadol. Could this be correct? ## She should try the medication her doctor has prescribed. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. What solution has been given for her magnesium level?

Ordered fioricet for migraines b/c cheaper than paying copay and dr visit plus rx (with insurance) locally. Can no longer contact them. Read online they had but shut down. What happens to those of us who have placed orders? They are under investigation. ## Hello, I'm sorry to hear about your situation, if you contact your credit card company you should be able to get a full refund for the pills you didn't receive. I heard about this happening to someone else and they were able to get their money back in a timely fashion. I hope this helps! ## I have had the same experience. I have been ordering my migraine meds from an online pharmacy for over 2 yrs. Now when I go the website, the page is there, but emails I have sent over the last month have gone unanswered. I ordered Fioricet ...
My pharmacy is telling me this has been discontinued and I am desparate to find some as it is the only thing that works on my migraines! ## I'm sorry, but it appears that it is no longer available, at all. We have had several people asking about it and I can't find any company that lists it as being available. What other medications have you tried? Have you consulted your doctor about the issue? ## My doctor was unable to recommend an alternative to the Midrin/Epidrin (isometh/dichlor/apap) combination. It is the vaso-dilatation effect of that drug combo that is what seems to help the migraines brought on by changes in barometric pressure. I am going to try low dose Imitrex as an alternative, which is available both as a pill or a nasal spray, but would prefer to not use his mor...

My doctor named my headache as migraine and it is exactly like that. She asked me to take dicorate er 500 per day for one month. I want to know what can happen when I take that medicine and what could be the side effects. Because whenever I take that, I feel something unpleasant on my tongue. ## Can you give a better description of what you're feeling on your tongue? Dicorate Er contains the active ingredient Valproate Semisodium and its common side effects may include nausea, dizziness, decreased coordination and loss of appetite. Learn more Dicorate ER details here. ## One day my bp shot up and my right side felt numbness even if I stand. I have been on depakote for 5 years. 3 months ago I got a small rash and went to the Dr. She treated with hydroxizine with no success for 2 months then referred me to a dermapathologist. The dermapathologist looked at it and said it was stevens Johnson syndrome and to stop the depakote which I did. He gave me a shot of kenalog, singulair, and topical steroids. As of yesterday the rash is still spreadi g out of control. Any ideas? I'm desperate, tried every OTC potion cream and pull. ## How long ago did you receive the shot? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and drowsiness. Are you on any other medications? Has there been any change? What other medications have you tried? Have you gotten a second opinion?
To make a long story short, I may not be having seizures. Dr. took one EEG and said I had two seizures in 20 minutes! What are seizures? What do they feel like? I have no idea what this doctor is talking about. I have never passed out. I'm a 61 year old female; active and maybe have 1 cold/year. I started taking the depakote this past saturday; 1 in am, the other at pm. It made me so sick, double vision, mean, angry. I do not have biopolar. So the total number of pills since saturday I have taken 2 full days of depakote and only one pill yesterday that made me so sick (5 pills total). I know I have to taper; should I take one more tablet today and stop? Thank you. ## It can vary from person to person, depending on the type of seizure and the severity. For example, my husband experie...

If I have to take a drug test for a job at FedEx and I have taken my prescribed medicine "Buap 50-650mg Tab. Will it make me fail if I have taken 4 to many pills in a week. I am prescibed to take 1 every 6 hrs. In the last two days before the test I have taken 4 extra pills. Do you think I will fail my urine drug test Thanks ## Hi dianetoou, I think you should be fine since this is your prescription and not someone else's. All you should have to do is present the company with your prescription prior to the drug test and you wont be held accountable for having it show up in your system. It would also take a more sophisticated drug test to determine the precise levels of the medication in your urine. Many places don't do this because of cost, but never-the-less I wouldn't ...
One takes sumatriptan succinate for migraines. When one has started, it is tough to see clearly. However, the blister packaging of this drug is diffilcult and frustrating to deal with even without a migraine being present! WHY do these pills have to be packaged this way?????? ## Well, unless you're storing them for a very long time, there's really no reason they have to stay in that packaging. You'd want to make sure to keep them out of reach of children and pets, but you could take them out of the blister packs ahead of time, so when you need to take one for a migraine, you're not fighting with the packaging at an inopportune time. :-) Learn more Sumatriptan details here. I used to get muscle relaxants in similar packaging and I'd sit down with about a weeks worth a...
