First they were pink now white. Hate to saythis bit I ran out for a while do to money and insurance and took my moms because u r not supposed to stop cold turkey. Which were pink My arms started hurting, felt bruised or like I worked out which I didn't but back to the white and arms are feeling better. Oh and also have a hard time breathing. I have had panic attacks for over 12 years now, however my heart has always had flutters. These flutters seem to be getting worse and making me almost pass out. My Dr put a 24 hour heart monitor and seen that my heart rate was fluttering and up and down. They say it showed no sign of heart disease but cannot explain why my blood pressure goes from 115/75 to 87/61 within secs of each other. When this happens I get very light headed and sick to my stomach. They have put me on metoprol but this has not resolved the issue. Could this all be from my stress and anxiety? I have been taking metoprolol tartrate 50 mg 2x a day for a while now, my doctor just told me to now start taking 2 tablets in the morning and 1 in the evening. I am concerned that 150 mg per day is too much. Can u tell me if this is not a safe dosage or if its ok to take that much? my blood pressure usually runs around 140/85 to 158/92 ## Hello, Rhonda! I have been taking metoprolol for prehypertension with a dosage amount of 25mg for 2 years and just had open heart surgery for aortic anuerysm. I have now been prescibed an encrease of metoprolol of 100mg a day. Have put on 12 to 15 pounds since taking 100mg 2 months ago. I took Dr. Reddy's metoprolol because my new insurance wouldn't pay for the brand I had been taking for 5 years. 6 weeks of waking up everyday with red and swollen feet, achy left pectoral region, a 2x increase in my dress size, and a voracious appetite made me stop my use of it and pay out of pocket for the brand. I have been on Metoprolol ER TAB SUC 50 mg (75 mg in morning and 75 mg in evening) for a long time. These were round white pills with"M50" on one side and a score line on the other side. I understand the "ER" stands for Extended Release. When my prescription ran out, I contacted the pharmacy for a refill. Instead of sending me the same medication, they sent me a 3-month supply of Metoprolol TAB TAR 50 mg. These are round pink pills, a little smaller than the white pills. On one side they have a score line with "93" above the score line and "733" below the score line. The other side is plain, with no markings at all. I have been taking metropolol 25 mg 2x/day for years. My tablet has been oval shaped with what looks like an "m" then a center score and a script looking "B" under that when the pill is held upright. My latest refill is round with "M 18" and the other side is center scored. Are these the identically same medices? It is so difficult with so many generic medicnes being white tablets.
