I have been taking Metoprolol Tartrate 25mg, twice a day since my heart operation in 2006. Throughout this time I had "occassional" dizziness. However, this past April I nearly fully collasped while walking in my house. Thinking it was my heart, I spent 3 days in the hospital and was tested "head to foot" and no problems were found. Since that time I would have "passing out" symtons while walking , and would completly stop, and it would disappear. This was happeing frequently. In May I passed out while standing. On June 1 dosage was dropped to 25mg ONCE a day. I am now fine

I am currently taking clonidine 1 mg once a day, Metropol 100 mg 2x a day, and nifipine 90 mg once a day. I started taking these meds in April of 2014 as my bp was 240/130. I have lost a good amount of weight and my bp appears to be controlled. However I am still experiencing side effects such as tiredness sleepy dizziness weak insomnia blurred vision slow heartbeat hair loss chest pain sometime really cold finger tips and toes tingling in the finger tips and toes. Will these side effects ever go away? I felt very dizzy at work today and had to leave because my pressure was 110/70 which is not to slow. But I think because I have lost the weight perhaps I need to lower my dosage.

200 mg of metroporal is too much. Talk too your doctor.

I was prescribed 25mg 2x daily for rapid heart. I am afraid of beta blockers and have been taking 12.5mg 4x daily. Is this ok or should I try to take entire tablet? If I can take half tablet should there be any orobkems with whole tab?
