I have been on it 2 times a day for about 3 weeks. For the last 2 weeks I have had this constant non-productive cough. I do not smoke and I am not around smokers, Also I am 60 years old. Could this drug be the reason for this constant cough? After I cough for so long I get winded and have trouble breathing. I also have had some stomach and nausea but I am overweight and the good side is I have lost my gigantic appetite. Should I contact my physician and ask to go off because of the constant cough? I just want some suggestions I am not going to get anyone in trouble, I am responsible for my own health. I just wanted some additional feedback. It seems that doctors do not have the time to become an expert on all the medication so it is up to the patient to get information to take to the do...

can't find what this pill does and what it is for ## This tablet contains 5mgs of Metolazone, it is a thiazide class diuretic that is used to treat edema and high blood pressure. I have a white round tablet with the letter M on one side and the numbers 172 on the other side. small pink round pill 643 on one side and 2 1/2 on the other side is this a vicodin? ## No it doesn't sound like it. Vicodin is oblong white, yellow or blue ## Rita, the pill which you are describing is actually Metolazone 2.5 mg.
