Methylprednisolone Withdrawl Sypmtoms?

Hey guys! Hope everyone is doing well! I am a 31 year old male who just finished a 6 day methylprednisolone 4mg course yesterday for a possible pinched nerve (Had been having some tingling in my arm and chest paints). I previously had several tests done on my heart, and they all came back clear. I took all of the pills prescribed from 6 on the first day, to 1 on the last day, and only had 1 day during the trial period when I had high heart rate, heart racing, feeling of anxiety, shortness of breathe. The rest of the days, I felt decent. Today, my first day since ending the medication, I started experiencing these symptoms again (high heart rate, shortness of breathe, tight feeling in chest) . I have also started feeling my pulse more prominently in my temple area of my head, as well as some tingling in my arm. Is this fairly normal when coming off a 6 day trial of the steroid? Also, is this something you all think i should follow up with my doctor on, or give it a few days? Thanks so much!

Those can be normal side effects, according to the FDA, and it can be normal to experience them for about a week, after you finish the medication.

However, the tingling in your arm, tightness in your chest and elevated heart rate are never anything to guess about, so if you aren't sure, definitely contact your doctor to be safe. Since this is a steroid there are some risks to taking it, so it is best to be careful.
