Methylprednisolone Pack + Flonase = No More Allergies Or Anxiety!

I have had nothing but positive experiences since I started taking methylprednisolone for my allergies. I went to the doctor on Tuesday due to horrible allergy/sinus symptoms. He put me on the methylprednisolone six day pack as well as flonase twice a day. By the second day, not only were my allergy symptoms completely gone but my anxiety is gone too! I have had anxiety issues off and on for years, but it has been moderate to severe in the last few months. I was nervous about taking steroids because I had heard they can make anxiety worse, but that didn't happen! For the first time in months, I am in a good mood and have absolutely no feelings of anxiousness or dread that have have been plaguing me! I'm starting to wonder if my anxiety is somehow tied to the allergies themselves or perhaps some other underlying issue I don't know about. I'm actually a little concerned about what will happen when I stop taking the steroids, wondering if my anxiety will come back. Haven't been able to find any information on steroids HELPING anxiety. But for now I am happy and feeling awesome! Hoping it stays that way.

Update! Day four of my six day dose pack. Not feeling very good today. Still no anxiety, which is nice. But allergy symptoms have been creeping back all day. Head and chest congestion, foggy feeling, cough, drainage. Along with the methylprednisone I've also taken sudafed, mucinex and flonase. Nothing seems to be helping. What's it gonna take to feel normal again?

What are you allergic to?

Getting to the root of that problem, so you can try to eliminate your exposure to it might be the best thing to do. Have you ever consulted an allergist/immunologist?

I just developed allergies this year, never been actually tested and diagnosed. Currently I don't have full health insurance but hoping to get the tests done soon.
