Methocarbamol Pill V 4212

What are side effects? Risks of interactions with antidepressants/bi-polar meds such as Limictal and/or Klonopin and/or attention meds such as Vyvanse, dextro-amphetamine, dex, dexidrine? Ex stole my prescription and replaced those contents with Methocarbamol and Ativan. Not a horrible forced trade for me till next month when I refill and get back to my normal med blend, although she'll wish she had them when she starts coming down. Anyway, thought I could take one to relax at bedtime but don't want to cross interact and hurt myself. Note: currently not taking any attention medication because of aforementioned. Would love some feedback. Thanks!

Hi Robert,

Sorry to hear about your Ex stealing your prescription. I hope the two of you manage to get things worked out on some level.

Regarding drug interactions, The University of Maryland Medical Center notes that taking Methocarbamol with Clonazepam (Klonopin) is usually not recommended and may cause problems with your breathing. They go on to list a range of possible side effects associated with their combined use.

Furthermore, each of the medications you listed have drug monographs with enough side effects listed to write a children's book [i.e. too many to mention here].

There's also no way of knowing if, when, or what types of manifestations might occur while you choose to take these medications. Though I agree that you should research and become aware of them. Here on MedsChat you can type in the drug name in the search box on the home page for more specific details.
