i was on methadone 4 2yrs waited 50 hours then took half 1mg of suboxone 4 the next 2 days to push done out of body faster now on 3-4mgs of sub feels a s*** load better than straight wd but need to know how long do have to take this s*** 4 before all done is out of my body to where i wont have any wd from the methadone need help bad !!!!!!!!!! ## I did the same thing...60mg dones for 3 yrs...went to subs 72 hours after my last dose of dones...threw me into wd bad for one whole day (thought I was gonna die). I have been taking methadone 20mgs. twice a day, plus 10mgs of oxycodone 4 times a day for the breakthrough pain. This has been my regimen for over 2 years now. But before I was only on methadone by itself since aug of '99. I went from 140 mgs. down to 70 and now I am down to 40. I need to find a pain clinic closer to home. Maybe in TN or Lexington, Ky. Does anybody know of one in these locations? I would greatly appreciate the help.

My fiance has been taking sleep aid pills of Diphendydramine 50 mg and methadone showed up on a drug test. She doesn't use...some reading I have done has shown that ingredient in other people's system when methadone has show up. Please help! ## No, the Diphenhydramine has been known to cause false positives for PCP, not for Methadone. Learn more drug test details here. Had taken percocet for my headache, my ativan and my trazadone for sleep three nights prior which all showed positive. I attend a methadone clinic and have for a lil over 2 yrs. Recently I transferred to a new clinic. And I had my first ua which was dirty because the other clinic had me at such a low dose, I started 2 withdraw and started taking opiates. I recently made a bad decision and tried shrooms (mushrooms) for the first time ever, and 2-3 days after I tried it I had a ua. My results aren't back yet, but my question is do shrooms show up in a drug test at methadone clinics?

Ive been on 160mg of methadone for 2 years but i cant Feel it at all, if i switch to subutex will i feel Them? ## @drew, According to The National Alliance of Advocates for Buprenorphine Treatment (naabt.org), it is recommended that patients slowly reduce their Methadone dosage down to 30mgs for a period of at least a week, BEFORE attempting to discontinue it completely - AND THEN waiting at least 36 hours before starting Buprenorphine. They also go on to emphasize that patients "MUST" be in a mild to moderate state of withdrawal before taking their first dose of Buprenorphine. That said, I would just encourage you to follow these protocols down to the 'T' as well as asking your doctor for their opinion in case minor adjustments need to be made to fit your specific situa...

Found a small white round pill that has a three dimensional circled P on it so that the P looks raised. That is printed above a 10. Nothing on the other side and no other marks or scoring. No other colors. I've check many other sites. With no luck. The closest I've found was a google images picture of an orange pill that had the same P on it and when I tried to connect to the link there wasn't anything helpful there. ## @Jp, Based on your description, the closest match I found is one account of a small round white pill (unscored) with a "P" over "5" on one side and blank on the other. I been taking suboxen strips for only three days now &I have been only taking a quarter of the strip or half of it at a time depending on how bad I feel.I was still feeling horrible so someone told me I wasn't taking enough.So around 7:00pm in the evening I took a whole 8mg strip BC I felt not so good.N I waited n waited for it to kick in&it never did.I was in with drawls & they got way worse not better.I felt better before I took it.Why did this happen?And I was in a small withdrawl state when I did take it,n already took some for days before,so was it just 2much at one time?Please help if anybody out there knows why this happened?And should I hang in there BC I have a very demanding job,very physical work.I can not feel like this or b like this.But do not want 2go back...

I was given a swab test to see if I was using illicit drugs on top of my methadone, and to my shock it came back positive for coke and heroin and negative for methadone and diazepam which I take daily. Does anyone know how this could happen? Thing is I took a urine test 2 weeks prior and that was fine, so what happened I do not know. Any info would be appreciated.

I just discovered from the dosing nurse at my methadone clinic that they reuse the take-home bottles. Is this acceptable practice? Since starting treatment at this clinic (moved from a nearby state), i have had continuing colds and other maladies, maybe from contaminated bottles. What should i do? This clinic is extremely small and appears to suffer from lack of funds. ## It really depends how they are doing it. As long as the bottles are cleaned and sterilized and/or they are reusing your same bottles, then they can legally do so. I'm a 38 year old addicted to pain pills for about 20 years. My husband passed away this year Feb 14. That's when my addiction got way out of hand. I was taking lortab 10 about 30 og them a day or I would take percocet 10 or roxicet 30. I started methadone treatment last Tuesday. Started off at 20mg. They have bumped me up to 40 mg yesterday. I'm now sick to my stomach and very sleepy. Is this from the increase? The nutse said to give it a couple days if I'm still not feeling good then I can talk about lowering the dose. I have been taking anywhere from 5 to 10 mg of methadone a day for about 1 month. I only take it once a day, and at the same time every day (at night before bed) for back pain. I've not used drugs in 20 yrs. Been on the maximum take homes as long as I can remember. Then my clinic started the 5 day alcohol test in the monthly urine tests, Yes I was clean for 30 yrs. my mom has been on methadone for 13 years. She is on 135 mgs of the methadone. And she is now being prescribed 10 MG oxycodone for server pain and I told her she needed to chose either to take the methadone or take the oxys. well my question is, is if she wants to take the oxys how long would she have to go off the methadone before she would get relief from the oxycodone?? ## I used to take Oxycontin.
