Methadone Clinic Withdrawl After 30 Years

I've not used drugs in 20 yrs. Been on the maximum take homes as long as I can remember. Then my clinic started the 5 day alcohol test in the monthly urine tests, Yes I was clean for 30 yrs. We are a wine family. Drink wine while cooking and kitchen sitting. Problem is the clinic waited 90 days - 3 urine tests - to tell me they have this 5 day sensitivity all the sudden. After 3 dirty urines they put me from max take homes to every day visits.. I have severe health problems - cannot drive and had no way to get there daily. So I just quit. I was furious ! Wow, I worked so hard to have a normal life. Now my every waking moment is consumed with anxiety and sleep is impossible. And I havent even begun detox. Even though its been 2 weeks since I'm off. - a director of a clinic once told me you'd be stupid not to have back up saved - so I do. I don't even want to be off 57 yrs old and on meth for 30 yrs. What should I do?

I'd quit drinking now, rather than go through this. What are you thinking? Get to that clinic and work out something, or go to another. Why suffer?

I don't mean to be harsh, but looks to me like you've got 2 rather obvious solutions. 1. Re prioritize your options. And 2. (This one you aren't going to like) you sound like someone with an alcohol problem to me.
Takes one to know one, baby, and you hit every marker.
I promise your life will be better!
Or it could be those darn priorities!

I don't know what your health issues are but my uncle was a long time patient at a methadone clinic and his health was making it hard for him to make the clinic daily so the doctor running the clinic gave him a referral to a pain management doctor and now he gets his methadone script monthly so maybe you could get your records from your clinic you left showing all those years of clean time and get your own pain management appt.and get monthly scripts.
